Position Summary
The Retail Operation Assistant Manager supports retail operations, drives performance, and leads projects in the Japan market. Responsibilities include ensuring smooth boutique operations through process support, inventory management, after-sales service, and supply management; analyzing KPIs, developing incentives, and planning training programs; and leading the implementation of HQ retail projects, enforcing commercial policy, supporting client experience, and improving boutique guidelines.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Key Responsibility 1: Retail Operation
- Ensure Boutique support in processes and procedures as well as system processes.
- Deal with daily communication with boutiques on operations and various inquiries.
- Ensure that inventories are executed correctly in all boutiques.
- Prepare, lead, and support the proper execution of inventory counts once a year.
- Ensure professional After Sales Service in all boutiques.
- Order and manage Boutique Supply (Uniform, Sales Materials (Trays, etc), Safety Tools, Stationary, etc).
- Maintain boutique equipment and tools.
- Monitor budget of Boutique supply.
- Assist in translation, updating, and distribution of retail related guidelines and training materials.
- Contribute to coordination of new boutique projects/refurbishments/relocations.
- Assist in OTC events, events in department stores, maison events, and VIP voyages.
- Prepare for the materials for department stores.
- Serve as a key liaison with HQ Retail Operations, managing daily correspondence and participating in monthly meetings.
- Act as the primary point of contact for Richemont key function including IT/Security/Finance/Internal Audit.
Key Responsibility 2: Retail Operation Project
- Lead the smooth launch, training and operation of HQ Retail Operation project in Japan, especially GEMINI project implementation in 2026.
- Enforcement of commercial policy in BTQ
- Support smooth launch and operation of HQ Client Experience project in collaboration with local Retail Excellence Manager.
- Preparation, dissemination, and continuous improvement of local BTQ guidelines
Key Responsibility 3: Retail Performance
- Analyze and develop KPIs (each category sales, local market trend and needs and competitors), to create comprehensible reports.
- Develop, monitor and report Retail Incentives.
- Plan and Review all Retail Trainings.
Candidate Profile
- 3+ years Retail Admin experience in apparel/ luxury industry
- PC (Excel – advanced, Powerpoint - Basic, Office365 - Basic)
- Intermediate- Business level of English, mainly written.
- Desire to contribute to the development of the brand
- Result and action oriented
- Open communication, team player with good interpersonal competences
