We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Senior Vice President Marketing.  

Principal Responsibilities

The job holder will play a crucial role in developing and implementing marketing strategies to drive business growth, enhance brand awareness, customer preference of HSBC’s Global Private Bank Propositions, products and services to UHNW and HNW segments for Wealth and Personal Banking (WPB) in South Asia and Southeast Asia. Working closely with regional and global marketing teams for the Global Private Bank you will lead a team of marketing professionals and collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment with overall business and marketing goals. Your responsibilities include:  

·  Strategy Development: Develop a comprehensive marketing strategy aligned with business objectives, target markets and customer segments which integrates with and contributes to the global brand and marketing strategies. Identity key marketing opportunities and trends within private banking and private client segments, leverage them to gain competitive edge
·  Brand Management: Oversee the development and maintenance of a strong and consistent brand for GPB. Ensure brand guidelines are followed in all marketing materials, communications and client touchpoints. Monitor brand perception and implement strategies to enhance brand reputation and awareness
·  Performance Marketing: Plan, execute and optimize performance marketing campaign to drive client acquisition, lead generation and conversion. Utilize various digital marketing channels, such as paid search, display advertising, social media and partnership to maximize reach and ROI. Analyse campaign performance metrics, track key performance indicators and make data-driven decision to optimize marketing investments
·  Marketing Campaigns: Plan, execute and evaluate marketing campaigns across all channels, e.g. digital advertising, social media, events & sponsorships, BTL targeted communications. Collaborate with internal stakeholders e.g. Data & Analytics (D&A) team and external agencies to create compelling/ relevant content to engage the target audiences
·  Client acquisition, engagement and Retention: Working with customer insights and proposition team to develop marketing approaches that attract new clients and expand market share. Work closely with Data and Analytics Team, relationship managers and desk heads to implement initiatives to engage clients to increase customer value, loyalty and retention. This will include both in-person customer events, engagement and communication via digital platforms
·  Market Research and Analysis: Work with Customer insight team to identify industry trends, client preferences and competitive landscape. Develop and communicate single minded customer marketing propositions for HNW & UHNW clients. Use data-driven insights to inform marketing strategies and optimize campaign effectiveness. Stay updated on regulatory requirements and compliance standard affective marketing activities
·  Digital Marketing & Innovation: Drive digital transformation initiatives and leverage digital marketing channels to reach and engage target clients effectively. Explore innovative marketing approaches with Tech or media partners e.g. Google/ LinkedIn to enhance customer experiences and improve marketing ROI. Be a change maker to influence all stakeholders to create/ adopt solution to track the performance of all activities
·  Budget Management: Develop and manage marketing budget effectively, ensuring optimal allocation of resources and tracking of expenditures and monthly reporting on marketing operations. Monitor the effectiveness of marketing investments and adjust strategies accordingly
·  Audit and compliance: adhere to all marketing guidelines and ensure the department is audit ready
·  Team leadership & Development: Provide a strong leadership to the marketing team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture. Set clear goals and provide continuous guidance/ coaching/ performance review and facilitate professional development opportunities for the team members. Foster cross-functional collaboration with other departments and stakeholders, regionally and with the global marketing team

The role will report to Head of Customer, International & Marketing (CIM) in IWPB Singapore and become part of CIM management team.   

A critical success factor will be the ability to work across global businesses and functions, and directly with the Regional and Global Heads of Global Private Banking Marketing, Global Private Banking Business Head for South Asia & Southeast Asia and his Country Market Heads and Desk Heads, Head of Investments and Wealth Solutions and his Products Heads and CIO team, Head of Distribution and his Team Heads, Head of Propositions, Risk, Legal and Compliance teams as well as COO office.

Requirements

·  Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, or related field from an accredited institution
·  Extensive experience in marketing roles within financial services industry, especially in Private Banking and Wealth Management covering UHNW/ HNW and Affluent segments
·  Strong knowledge and understanding of UHNW/ HNW customer segments, private banking/ private client solutions, sales journey and service experiences
·  Proven track record in developing and implementing successful strategic marketing strategies, including digital and performance marketing campaign with full funnel optimization experience, customer engagements and events
·  Solid understanding of digital marketing trends, technologies and best practices
·  Experience in customer proposition or product and P&L management will be a plus., or product management
·  Ability to work in a highly matrixed organization and in a diverse environment that requires excellent interpersonal, effective communications and negotiation skills with stakeholders of all levels and across countries, regional and global structure
·  Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a medium-sized marketing team
·  Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven and ROI driven decision for marketing
·  Strong business sense with good analytical, project management skills and has an eye-for-detail
·  Proven ability to be a self-starter who is passionate in marketing and branding, has high energy and drive for success in a challenging and dynamic environment
·  Ability to work in a fast-paced, global environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
·  Commitment to putting the customer at the heart of all development and implementation activities
·  Performance driven attitude with strong commercial acumens and prior experience in sales and business development preferred
·  Offshore marketing and / Southeast Asia marketing experience preferred
·  Familiarity with regulatory and compliance consideration
·  Overseas travel will be required
