HSBC Digital Business Services is a pivotal part of the Group, providing essential operational and technical support to our global businesses and helping improve customer service and efficiency. We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Product Manager.  

Principal Responsibilities

·  Drive innovation by proactively identifying emerging technologies, capitalising on innovative opportunities and develop strategies to implement them effectively. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to bring innovative ideas to the table
·  Collaborate with business partners and stakeholders to generate new ideas and concepts for digital propositions. Work closely with cross-functional teams to design and refine these propositions, ensuring they align with business objectives and customer needs
·  Influence business strategy through stakeholder engagement, ensuring alignment and buy-in on plans, commitments, and investment. Shape scalable product roadmaps and transition plans for seamless integration within Business, IT, and Operational teams
·  Take ownership of the entire project lifecycle, from idea initiation to delivery. Develop and execute project plans, manage resources, and ensure timely and successful completion of initiatives. Balance scope, schedule, interdependencies, and proactive mitigate identified risks and issues throughout the project lifecycle
·  Create compelling value propositions by effectively articulating product scope and requirements. Contribute valuable insights to all aspects of product development, including user story grooming, defining test cases with clear acceptance criteria, and shaping engaging customer experience journeys
·  Ensure that all outcomes adhere to relevant laws, rules, regulations, and guidelines, while aligning with HSBC Group’s compliance framework

Requirements

·  Extensive knowledge and experience in digital product management or related roles with a focus on driving innovation and leading end-to-end project delivery, preferably within the financial services industry or start-up environment. Candidates should have a successful track record of delivering tangible improvements through user-led designs, prototyping, and working in agile environments
·  Ability to think strategically and identify opportunities for innovation. Strong business acumen with a deep understanding of market trends, customer needs, and emerging technologies. Demonstrated experience and aptitude for constructively challenging the status quo, particularly in the realm of digital innovation
·  Comfortable with ambiguity, possessing the ability to independently formulate and test clear hypotheses, and solve problems in the absence of well-defined direction
·  Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a proven ability to navigate and collaborate with cross-functional global teams
·  Proven ability to interact, influence, and build authentic relationships with internal and external stakeholders
·  Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential. The candidate must possess attention to detail and the ability to comprehend complex business dynamics
·  Proficient understanding of Design Thinking, User-centred Design, and Agile project methodologies, as well as their respective frameworks
·  Prior experience in building, scaling, or commercializing digital products in the areas of Web3, Digital Assets, Generative AI or Quantum Technology would be highly regarded
