Job Description

Your primary function will be to provide all resources, and logistics required to perform manufacturing, services and maintenance activities on the Rotating Manufacturing Rugby (RMR) site & customers' site. These activities will contribute to, building, maintaining, repair, refurbishment and testing of existing products.

This role will also involve maintenance service (preventive and remedial), managing maintenance facilities and field services engineering. You'll be responsible for the quality of your own work and the work of others on the team.

In addition, you will execute standard operational/technical tasks typically subject to instructions and work routines. There is latitude to rearrange the sequence to complete task/duties based on changing work situations.

This role will incorporate up to 20% travel in the UK.

In this role you will focus on:

  • Building, testing, maintenance, repairs and inspections-related service activities on GE provided electrical products.
  • Broadening knowledge of your own technical discipline to execute policy/strategy. May include support roles with specialized technical knowledge; still acquiring higher level knowledge and skills.
  • Developing understanding of key business drivers and how work within your team integrates with other teams.
  • Broadening your knowledge of engineering complexity and integrity of systems provided, providing feedback to relevant engineering sections for diagnostics and improvement of solutions provided.
  • Resolving issues in situations that require good technical knowledge and judgment within established procedures.

  • Experience working in a small team and complying to health and safety regulations
  • An understanding of engineering requirements.
  • Experience adhering to quality procedures and producing high quality work
  • Ability to comply with EHS and work procedures to ensure safety of personnel and systems are not compromised
