Job Responsibilities

Purpose:
The Global De’Longhi Logistics team is seeking an innovative, hands on and customer oriented Logistics Engineer to support the local management through projects and initiatives, related to internal and/or external logistics activities, aiming at improving customer satisfaction, reducing our costs and developing our best practices. The position encompasses various topics and requires to manage partially or totally initiatives and projects until their effective and successful implementation and beyond if needed.
You will be building a network with all Supply Chain organizations (Central & Locals) throughout Europe with the result of ensuring continuous improvement within the organization and improving the Customer journey.
On the other hand, you will be involved in the first level of negotiation with logistics service providers to support other company departments, internal or external to the Supply Chain, who need to make use of these services. The position requires to maintain good and profitable relationships with established suppliers and verify that transport invoices are in line with existing agreements.

Main Responsibilities:
? Driving standardization and process improvement projects at the regional or the local level;
? Supporting development, continuous piloting, formalizing and deployment of process improvements, redesign and IT implementation;
? Being an Ambassador of Logistic Excellence;
? Reviewing and improving the distribution of our products to our customers;
? Improving the efficiency of internal and external warehouse activities;
? Developing logistics reports, records and KPI’s and ensuring their effective implementation;
? Preparing business cases with the support of controlling;
? Managing together with indirect Purchasing RFI (Request for Information) and RFQ (Request for Quotation) with external third-party logistics companies, in line with the Global Logistics Strategy
? Supplier management: maintenance and updating of supplier Vendor Cards;
? Negotiation of tariffs and quotations: request and collection of offers, analysis of the same to obtain simulations on the spending budget;
? Control and authorization of invoices: suppliers’ price list data entry in the system and its maintenance; verification of the accuracy of the invoices of logistic competence and the subsequent authorization or dispute with the related request for accreditation, within the monthly deadline linked to the closing of the accounting period.
? Analyze data collected and prepare monthly ad hoc reports.

Job Profile

Qualifications, Knowledges:
? MBA, MSc or MEng (Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering, Mathematics or equivalent) preferred
? Min 2 years’ experience in similar process development role, ideally in fast-paced industrial, logistics or production/manufacturing environment
? Fluent in Italian and English
? Advanced data analysis and an expert in using supporting tools e.g. Minitab, JMP, MS Excel, MS Access, SAP (EWM, MM) preferred
? The job will required frequent travel
