Cisco Meraki is seeking its first Social Media Engagement Specialist to facilitate social media planning and execution, and to drive our online presence in thoughtful, authentic, human ways. As a key voice of the Meraki brand, you'll work with others across Marketing and the broader business to impact and develop the best possible online experience for our customers and partners.
Specific duties include:
- Active participation in community engagement, including helping resolve customer issues, answering questions and generally being awesome
- Growing the Meraki follower base and engagement rate on key social platforms
- Running weekly cross-functional social media scrums
- Planning and prioritizing a content sharing schedule
- Building and executing awareness and engagement campaigns
- Creating net new earned media opportunities
- Managing content development projects for marketing teams and other cross-functional groups
- Compiling quarterly trend reviews and data reports
Skills & requirements:
- 3 – 5 years experience in customer-centric social media marketing and/or PR
- A social media power user with a flare for buzz-building and a track record of driving engaged online communities
- Experience using social media analytics tools and implementing data-driven change
- Creative skills for contributing new and innovative ideas
- Writing, blogging and proofreading experience desirable
- Experience leveraging popular social media platforms and working with influencers
- Experience managing website content
- Strong organizational skills and communication skills a must.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
- Capacity to prioritize and work on multiple projects
- Ability to work independently and flexibly
- Fanatical attention to detail and accuracy
- Proactive and resourceful with a ‘can-do' attitude
