Job Title: ServiceNow ITOM

Position: Senior Systems Engineer

Experience: 5+ yr

Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field or higher with minimum 3 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

. Implement and configure ServiceNow ITOM modules, including: Discovery Service Mapping Event Management Cloud Management (optional)
. Perform infrastructure discovery to populate and maintain an accurate CMDB
. Design and manage Service Mapping for business-critical services
. Configure event rules, alert management, and integrations with monitoring tools
. Analyze IT infrastructure data to improve service reliability and performance
. Work closely with infrastructure, network, and application teams
. Troubleshoot discovery issues and optimize probe/sensor patterns
. Ensure CMDB data quality, governance, and compliance
. Support ITSM integrations (Incident, Change, Problem, Asset)
. Prepare technical documentation and provide knowledge transfer

Mandatory Skills

. Strong hands-on experience with ServiceNow ITOM
. Deep knowledge of: Discovery (horizontal & vertical) CMDB & CI relationships MID Server
. Experience with Service Mapping and patterns
. Good understanding of IT infrastructure: Servers (Windows/Linux) Network devices Databases Cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP – preferred)
. Scripting experience: JavaScript (ServiceNow) Basic PowerShell / Shell scripting
. Experience integrating monitoring tools (e.g., SCOM, SolarWinds, Dynatrace, Nagios)

Good‑to‑Have Skills

. Event Management & AIOps exposure
. Cloud Discovery and Cloud Management
. ServiceNow ITSM knowledge
. REST/SOAP API integrations
. ServiceNow certifications: CSA CIS‑ITOM
