Your future duties and responsibilities:
Provide deliberate planning expertise in support of the National Defense Transportation Association Fall Meeting. The purpose of this conference is to: discuss JDDE issues and concerns; increase understanding of partners, suppliers, and customers; understand and accommodate innovation, change, and disruption; gain efficiencies by bringing mission partners together in one location; professional development and education; and build relationships and trust.
Responsible for major event planning and execution in support of the development and coordination of the overall conference proceedings to include, but not be limited to, logistics, attendance, DoD budget estimates, conference agenda (general and breakout sessions as well as associated seminars, meetings, functions, and special events as required), and event execution.
Work with assigned Government lead(s) and coordinate various event requirements across USTRANSCOM and NDTA.
Interface with supporting event contributors from across DoD, USG, industry, academia.
Provide periodic supporting planning and technical assessments and prepare planning and progress update briefings to keep leadership informed.
Record details of both the Fall Meeting planning and event execution sessions/meetings, prepare budget reports to be submitted to the OSD Cost Assessment & Program Evaluation (CAPE), as well as draft minutes and/or AAR/LL reports.
Apply knowledge and experience in the commercial air, sea, and surface industry to assist the Government in ensuring the availability and readiness of commercial capacity required for operations in support of DoD and national requirements.
Apply knowledge and experience in the commercial industry and government-owned transportation programs to assist the Government in ensuring the availability and readiness of commercial and government-owned capabilities of operation in support of DoD and national requirements.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
Due to the nature of the work, a US citizenship AND an active SECRET security clearance are required.
Strong knowledge of DoD transportation policies and deployment processes.
Ability to coordinate and work with multiple DoD and interagency offices to reach consensus.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $79,600.00 - $176,300.00.
