Senior Citrix Engineer – Digital Workplace Services (DWS)

About the Role

The Digital Workplace Services (DWS) Group delivers end-user IT services across a large global organization, including desktop and virtual workspace services, unified communications, collaboration tools, and user-facing support functions.

We are seeking a Senior Citrix to support and evolve Citrix XenApp and XenDesktop (19.12) environments across the Americas and globally. This role is critical to ensuring secure, high-performance access to Windows applications for users across multiple devices.

You will act as a senior technical expert, contributing to operations, architecture, solution design, and mentoring, while working closely with global teams.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities
Senior Citrix Expertise
Act as a senior-level Citrix subject matter expert for the AMER perimeter
Support, maintain, and optimize Citrix XenApp and XenDesktop environments
Global Operations & Support
Provide Level 3 (L3) support for Citrix infrastructure and applications
Serve as a global Citrix resource for operations, projects, and functional teams
Solution Design & Engineering
Design and implement Citrix solutions aligned with business and security requirements
Participate in architecture reviews and strategic initiatives
Advanced Troubleshooting
Diagnose and resolve complex performance, connectivity, and application issues
Change & Risk Management
Ensure production changes follow established change and risk management processes
Documentation & Process Improvement
Review and develop operational documentation with global teams
Contribute to monitoring improvements and ticket volume reduction
Incident & Escalation Management
Escalate incidents to Control Towers and management when required
Review incident trends and improve operational efficiency
Mentorship
Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior team members
On-Call Support
Participate in on-call rotations, including after-hours and occasional weekends,
Required Skills & Qualifications
Must Have

Citrix Infrastructure (Senior Level)
5+ years administering and supporting Citrix XenApp and XenDesktop (19.12)
Level 3 Infrastructure Support
5+ years in L3 support roles within complex IT environments
Scripting & Automation
2+ years with PowerShell, VBScript, and/or CMD
Windows Server
3+ years with Windows Server 2012 & 2016 Windows Server 2016/2019 experience is an asset End-User Workspace Management
Experience with Ivanti workspace management solutions
Infrastructure Exposure
Active Directory, VMware, NAS storage, Backup & Recovery, SQL Server
Strong Troubleshooting Skills
Proven ability to resolve complex, high-impact technical issues

Nice to Have
Netscaler 12.1 administration and support
Experience in large, global enterprise environments

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

Competencies
Knowledge of ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change, Request)
Familiarity with Agile methodologies
Basic project management experience
Strong communication and presentation skills
Client-oriented mindset with the ability to simplify complex topics
Ability to work autonomously while collaborating in a global team

CGI offre une estimation raisonnable de la fourchette salariale pour ce poste. Le calcul de cette fourchette dépend de divers facteurs, notamment le niveau de compétence, le marché géographique, l’expérience, la formation ainsi que les licences et certifications professionnelles. Les décisions en matière de rémunération dépendent des particularités de chaque cas. Une estimation raisonnable de cette fourchette salariale se situe entre 60,000$-115,000$ ce poste est vacant.
