Senior MS Azure ETL Developer

Position Description:

This role is hybrid and requires you to be at our downtown Toronto Client office at a minimum 1-3 days per week - subject to change at any time. 

We are looking for a Senior Azure Databricks / ETL developer to design, develop, and support data integration and transformation solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with existing legacy applications, modernizing ETL processes, and supporting business-critical data pipelines.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

1. Configure DEV/UAT/PROD Environments on Azure Cloud.
2. Design, develop, and maintain ETL pipelines using Azure Databricks
3. Develop data transformations using Python (PySpark) and SQL
4. Analyze and enhance existing legacy ETL applications
5. Setup IAM and Security Policies on Azure ; Implement Identity and Access Management (IAM) protocols and security policies on the Azure platform
6. Design and develop the core Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) solution using Azure Data Factory and SQL Managed Instance
7. Complete IST integration testing, participate in QAT support exercises.
8. Support code and environment promotion activities
9. DevOps Setup for Code Promotion Activities

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

1. Strong experience in ETL development
2. Proficiency in Python and SQL
3. Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure Databricks
4. Experience working with large-scale data processing
5. Ability to work independently in a senior/lead capacity
6. Comfortable supporting and enhancing legacy systems

Nice to Have

1. iWay experience or familiarity
2. Banking and Collections domain experience
3. Experience with data migration or modernization initiatives

**CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $95,000–$145,000. This role is an existing vacancy.**
