Position Description:
We are seeking an experienced Intermediate Business Systems Analyst to serve as a key liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams. The successful candidate will analyze business processes, translate requirements into clear documentation, and support data-driven solutions within Banking and Insurance domains. This role requires strong analytical thinking, solid data skills, and excellent stakeholder communication.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
• Partner with business stakeholders to understand business processes, objectives, and pain points
• Elicit, analyze, validate, and document business, functional, and non-functional requirements
• Facilitate stakeholder interviews, workshops, and requirements-gathering sessions
• Support Agile delivery teams by contributing to backlog refinement, sprint planning, and reviews
• Work with technical teams to clarify requirements and ensure alignment with business goals
• Translate business needs into FRDs, SRS documents, use cases, user stories, and process flows
• Assist in data analysis activities to support reporting, insights, and decision-making
• Ensure requirements traceability throughout the project lifecycle
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
Technical Skills & Tools
• Strong experience writing and analyzing SQL queries
• Hands-on experience with Databricks
• Experience using data analysis tools leveraging SQL
• Basic working knowledge of Python for data analysis or automation
• Understanding of data-driven system architectures and integrations
Documentation & Delivery Tools
• Proficiency with Jira for backlog management and tracking
• Experience using Confluence for documentation and knowledge sharing
• Advanced use of MS Word and Excel for documentation and analysis
• Working knowledge of Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban frameworks.
Domain Experience
• Experience working in Banking environments (e.g., retail banking, commercial banking, financial services)
• Experience in Insurance (e.g., underwriting, claims, policy administration, or risk management)
Required Qualifications
• 3 - 5 years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or similar role
• Proven ability to document complex requirements clearly and accurately
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced Agile environment
Nice-to-Have Skills
• Prior experience supporting data platforms or analytics initiatives
• Familiarity with regulatory or compliance-driven environments
• Experience working with cross-functional teams in enterprise environments
CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $55,000.00 – $105,000.00. This role is an existing vacancy.
