Job description

Title     : Technical Manager Application Technology, Home Care and I&I (Industrial and Institutional) Turkey, Middle East and Central Asia

Location          : Pendik / Istanbul

 

Qualifications

 

·  University Degree (preferably Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or similar)
·  Minimum 3 years’ experience in R&D or Application Technology in Home Care and I&I
·  Strong in communication with openness, clarity, organizational awareness, and empathy to achieve the desired results.
·  Presentation capability for technical content.
·  Strong in taking ownership for results, overcome obstacles.
·  Act to deliver customer value while achieving profit table business results.
·  Ability and willingness to work in multinational and cross-functional teams.
·  Fluent in English and Turkish, other languages are an asset.
·  Should be able to travel.

 

Job Description

 

·  Lead and manage local application technical lab, be the local expert for the market for Türkiye, Middle East and Central Asia region.
·  Develop formulations according to selected market & customer needs, perform application tests.
·  Uses contemporary digital tools for simulation and prediction of experimental results.
·  Support profitable growth in regional market within triangular approach.
·  Keep and increase level of product and formulation expertise with local market know-how and formulation technology competency.
·  Represent technical expertise and intimacy at selected regional customers (technical selling activities, projects, etc.)
·  Push and pull activities with the regional customer and distributors (formulation, concept development, technical service, and troubleshooting)
·  Formulation and technology concept developments / adaptations for regional markets in close co-operation with local marketing and sales Innovation management: Product gap definition, potential evaluation, project steering, launch preparation and roll out.
·  Trainings for internal (sales), external customers and distributors and support of launch activities.
·  Disciplinary leadership of technicians and ensuring to meet work and safety requirements.
·  Monitors and evaluates market trends and customer activities (products/ patents/literature) for the individual field, considers proposals and customer comments and generates recommendations for new projects / applications / solutions for problems with the frame of a product strategy.
·  Competence center for certain application within European BASF organizations.
