We are looking for a professional like you to join our team! As a member of the Field Technical Service Leadership Team, you will be accountable to lead and develop/enact the service strategy for the teams that service the sales of BASF products and services in North America to its Transplants customers. In this role, you will direct the efforts of BASF personnel to support the use of products in customer’s applications and new product/application development, as well as ensure the organizational depth of BASF's ECO Technical Service team by co-designing, implementing, and management of knowledge management tools and best practice sharing across the organization. You will work closely with Technical, Manufacturing, Logistics and Quality to ensure that customer needs are met, and with the corresponding ECO/B Account Managers to coordinate new plant launches, new product launches (new color or technology), launches of modified products or solutions to customer problems that require Engineering approval. In addition, the role serves as communication and coordination contact point toward the respective global Technical Service organizations (Global Key Accounts).
The position navigates a complex value chain with a wide scope of activities including customer satisfaction, excellence initiatives, and hiring / developing, / mentoring direct reports. You must ensure business initiatives, policies and procedures are communicated effectively to all direct reports and fully implemented. As the automotive market continues to grow in North America, you will lead change across a team of technical service focused employees in an ambiguous forward-looking role that is critical to the long-term success of the business.
As an NA Regional Field Technical Service Manager, You Create Chemistry By...
· Servicing multiple customer plant locations and leading the onsite field service teams.
· Leading and developing the service strategy for the onsite field service teams that service the sales of BASF products in NA to its customers.
· Directing the efforts of BASF personnel to support the use of products in customer’s applications and new product/application development, as well as ensures the organizational depth of BASF´s Technical Service.
· Navigating a complex value chain with a wide scope of activities including customer satisfaction, excellence initiatives, and hiring / developing, / mentoring direct reports.
· Working closely with Technical, Manufacturing, Logistics and Quality to ensure that customer needs are met.
· Identifing new business opportunities and driving the Global Strategy.
· Working closely with the Account Management team to coordinate new plant launches, new product launches (new color or technology), launches of modified products or solutions to customer problems that require Engineering approvals.

If you...
· Have a Bachelor's/Master’s degree in business management, a scientific discipline, or engineering discipline with commensurate work experience.
· Are highly experienced in customer product, application, and performance requirements.
· Have high degree of experience in application of paint in an industrial environment, preferred Automotive OEM.
· Have experience managing customer complaints and coming up with solutions to mitigate customer concerns.
· Have experience leading diverse teams with a strong emphasis on development.
· Challenge the status quo, develop process improvements and drive continuous improvement projects for cost savings.
