Where the chemistry happens…

This position reports to the HR Manager and it´s primary responsibilities are to provide HR support to the BASF’s N.A. Petrochemicals Port Arthur facility.

As an HR Generalist, You Create Chemistry By...

·  Managing Port Arthur recruiting activities at Lamar University.
·  Assisting Operations and Maintenance departments with oversight of the Port Arthur apprenticeship program. Coordinating site-wide training (that is not specific to technical Operations or Maintenance) which includes assisting with communication, scheduling, sign-up and ensuring attendance is recorded.
·  Owning the first day new hire orientation for all Port Arthur employees, including conducting orientation meeting and ensuring relevant and up to date material is presented.
·  Providing day-to-day employee relations support, including investigations for Port Arthur’s non-exempt employees 
·  Maintaining accurate headcount data for site and communicating all employee moves to site.
·  Directing employees to correct HR resources, including HR4You, leave team, Benefits Solver, etc. Also, being primary contact at site for SchedulePro issues.
·  Supporting local compensation salary surveys and market analysis; modifying and revising compensation / salary data and salary codes in partnership with data management. Supporting the preparation and facilitation of site performance calibrations and talent reviews in partnership with HR team.
·  Providing back-up support to the Port Arthur HR Manager

If you have...

·  A minimum of a Bachelor´s degree..
·  A minimum of three year’s HR related experience, manufacturing envorinments prefered. 
·  Strong MS Excel skills.
·  Previous HRIS experience, SAP preferred.
