The future of BASF is climate-neutral - and we are shaping the way ahead! We enable BASF to access renewable energy by participating in the production of renewable electricity, concluding long-term supply contracts and bringing renewable electricity to BASF production sites.

RESPONSIBILITIES

In our BASF Renewable Energy GmbH (BREn) you will coordinate and implement BASF’s global compliance policies and initiatives in BREn operations and serving as first compliance contact to all colleagues.

·  You will execute key compliance controls to ensure conformity with compliance policies and processes.
·  In addition, you will coordinate and implement BASF’s data protection policies and initiatives in BREn  operations and serving as data protection officer to all colleagues.
·  You will contribute to BREn’s audits and internal risk reviews as well as to external and internal contracts and agreements development.
·  Finally, you will execute regular REMIT reporting for BREn.

QUALIFICATIONS

·  Degree in business/finance, legal or engineering
·  first professional working experience in a compliance environment or related function at a multinational company or as consultant
·  profound knowledge in all aspects of the renewable energy industry and the legal and commercial issues that arise from the purchase, generation, distribution, supply and trading of renewable products
·  deep understanding of the interaction between the areas of energy generation, procurement and supply as well as grid access and grid usage issues
·  analytical mindset with an eye for practical solutions, integrity, decisiveness and good judgement in a fast pace environment
·  ability to address conflicts and difficult situations in a professional, calm, assertive and proactive manner
·  fluent in English and German
