Description

Objectives of the position :

·  To ensure Third Party Logistics (3PL) service providers meet up to the requirements of their contracts with our organization and to pursue continuous improvement projects with them. Responsible in ensuring 3PL regulatory compliance and adherence to our organization's and Country statutory requirements

To handle 3PL's Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) reporting requirements for the organization's Supply Chain operations.

To support roll-out of all regional projects, distribution model concepts related to Supply Chain Management, including those in the organization's overseas satellite hubs.

Overall responsible for the organization's insurance process.

Core responsibilities :

·  Close coordination with 3PL service providers in ensuring performance based on established KPIs as well as operating guidelines and to pursue continuous improvement projects with them together with business units with the intention of streamlining operations and optimizing costs.
·  To co-ordinate with Business Units, regional legal department, department, regional Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) on local/regional/global trade controls. To liaise with Government regulatory agencies with regards to statutory requirements and regulations.
·  To co-ordinate with Business Units with regards to Standard Operating Procedures & guidelines, improvement projects as well as business-specific needs.
·  To manage 3PL service provider compliance to Transport Distribution Safety (TDS) guidelines and facilitate Road Safety as well as Warehouse Safety audits with all modes of transport and storage.
·  Co-ordination of the Company's insurance coverage and claim handling processes.
·  To perform audit and random checks at 3PL to ensure adherence of agreed work instructions and business rules.
·  To manage Non-Conformances and to ensure proper corrective and preventive measures are in place and to review effectiveness of such measures.
·  To support logistics procurement activities (e.g., tendering) for the organization.
·  To act as a back-up for other team members - Logistics for day-to-day activities.

Requirements :

·  Degree in Business Administration or Logistics Management is preferred.
·  5 - 8 years in Logistics operations such as Warehousing & Distribution management, including but not limited to, transport management preferably in the chemical industry & knowledge of licensing requirements.
·  Experience in a regional role is an advantage.
·  Computer literate with working knowledge of MS Office applications and SAP.
·  Intermediate to advance knowledge of Supply Chain and Logistics operations.
