Scrum/ Agile Master (m/f/d)

Job Purpose/ Role

As an Agile Master you will be responsible for servant leadership within the DDIS product / service teams. Based in Spain/India, you will be working closely within our global team in Spain, Italy, Germany, Romania, India, Australia. You will design, facilitate and coach the team through the collaboration events and workshops, ensure team harmony, effectiveness and high performance; help conflict resolutions and promote self-organization and cross-functional work. You will be working cross-teams and cross-products to ensure deliverables in an agile environment. Additionally, you will promote and support the implementation of the Agile Strategy across teams and the organization. You will provide support on Agile principles and best practices to Agile teams and stakeholders by teaching, mentoring and advising. The job requires communication and alignment with stakeholders of all levels of seniority.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, organization, facilitation and moderation of the Scrum events and other team level collaboration events.
  • Agile Maturity assessment of the team and organization and team coaching to higher levels of maturity, at a sustainable pace for the team and organization.
  • Educate teams and embrace agile mindset thoroughly by role modeling resilience, respectful behaviors, and continuous learning culture
  • Continuous improvement through design and implementation of various moderation techniques to allow team collaboration to create new insights and commit to concrete actions.
  • Establishing and reporting on agile metrics (quality, productivity, team flow, value metrics).
  • Continuous improvement of agile teams and improvement in the trends of valid metrics with the intention of increasing customer value added, building quality in and increasing team effectiveness and satisfaction.
  • Supporting the team in Product Vision creation, effective Product Backlog management, planning and forecasting by facilitating the process and guiding the Product Owner
  • Support the optimal use of tools and processes across teams.
  • Work closely with the Agile team and product owner of other Agile teams as well as with other Agile masters, the Agile coaches and Tribe leads.
  • Act as a servant leader and remove impediments on the team level to ensure the undisturbed focus of the team on most valuable work.

Key Requirements & Skills

  • University degree or equivalent education in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a similar qualification.
  • Minimum 2 years of work experience as Scrum Master / Agile Coach / Agile Delivery Lead role for at least one Scrum team working in the multinational digital software development area.
  • Strong knowledge in Scrum framework theory.
  • Knowledge of Agile methods and practices such as Kanban, Lean, XP, TDD, FDD, DevOps, Lean Product Development
  • Practical experience with agile practices (User story mapping, Agile Estimation, Value Stream mapping) 
  • Facilitator experience in designing and delivering sessions in hybrid, remote and in-person settings
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including facilitation, coaching and conflict management.
  • Supporter and practitioner of servant leadership.
  • Experience with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence), EasyBI, and collaboration tool is a plus
  • CSM / PSM / SAFe certification / ICAgile certifications are a plus
  • Knowledge of Scaled Agile frameworks (SAFe, Nexus, Scrum@Scale) is a plus
  • Positive attitude paired with a good portion of curiosity and a customer-centric service attitude.
  • Enthusiast of innovation and continual improvements.
  • Full proficiency in English; further languages would be a plus.
  • Good problem-solving skills and well-organized way of working.
  • Strong intercultural skills to be able to work in an international environment.
