Job role
As a Sustainability Reporting Expert, you will support the end-to-end sustainability reporting processes, including standard interpretation, concept development, requirements compliance control, detailed documentation of reporting methodologies and workflows, and consistent application of disclosure frameworks such as CSRD and ISSB.
What you will do
- Stay informed on sustainability challenges and innovations to effectively support outreach activities and conduct comprehensive reviews within the regulatory framework
- Develop and disseminate guidance for group centers, ensuring consistency and compliance across the organization
- Contribute to efforts in the simplification, standardization, and automation of reporting processes, enhancing operational efficiency
- Lead the preparation of slides for management communications, including Due Diligence Meetings and Sustainability Board presentations, with a focus on articulating data change explanations
- Drive the collection and validation of data from a content perspective, ensuring accuracy and relevance
- Coordinate the preparation of qualitative content updates, managing requirements control to align with strategic objectives
- Knowledge in reporting and willingness to work with reporting tools, such as SmartNotes to optimize reporting
What you bring
- University degree or equivalent experience, preferably in sustainability, environmental studies, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in content creation and management, with a focus on sustainability (environment, social, or governance)
- Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel, with the ability to perform complex functions
- Strong understanding of sustainability frameworks, standards, and reporting methodologies (e.g., CSRD, ISSB)
- Enthusiasm for working in a diverse and international team environment
- Desire to make a difference and openness to coaching
- Experience with SmartNotes or other reporting tools is a plus
- Experience with audit processes and alignments is a plus
- Experience in Climate and finance emissions, HR reporting, or in corporate governance or compliance is a plus
You have
- Very structured way of working and detail-oriented attitude, laying the ground for strong expertise in combining components in form of text, numbers and graphs. Ability to keep an overview over complex reporting structures and dependencies
- Good ability and willingness to work under time pressure in finalization of reports based on late changes in content combined with hard deadlines for deliveries
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to quickly understand complex requirements and translate them into actionable content
- Excellent command of English for preparing and delivering presentations and reports. German language skills are a plus
