Position Summary

The role of Solution Designer is pivotal in defining the strategic direction for Allianz Technology Infrastructure Architecture, including Cloud Transformation. The primary objective is to optimize, standardize, and ensure alignment with regulatory and Asia Region/Group requirements.

Role & Responsibilites

  • Develop and implement the strategic vision for Infrastructure Architecture, steering the Cloudification journey within Allianz Technology.
  • Collaborate closely with business stakeholders and application teams to refine and enhance IT solutions, aligning them with evolving business requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with the Demand Management team to assess requirements and provide detailed effort estimations.
  • Actively engage in technology governance committees, ensuring proper approvals are diligently obtained.
  • Uphold strict compliance with regulatory and Group architectural guidelines and requirements.
  • Provide invaluable technical guidance to the development team, influencing system design and promoting architectural best practices.
  • Contribute to ongoing Research and Development (R&D) endeavors aimed at identifying innovative technologies that can benefit the organization.
  • Ensure that the architecture portfolio consistently aligns with the local, regional, and Group-level business roadmaps and strategies.
  • Cloud Transformation: The Infra Solution Architect will be instrumental in transforming Allianz's legacy systems into cloud-native solutions. This involves leveraging infrastructure-as-code practices, ensuring operational stability, and emphasizing standardization and financial KPIs to drive efficient transformation.
  • Operational Stability: They will focus on maintaining operational stability by implementing quality assurance measures, addressing non-functional requirements such as resiliency, and utilizing end-to-end monitoring. Champion the use of Infrastructure as Code (Iac)
  • Security Capabilities: The architect will be responsible to integraterobust security measures and compliance into infrastructure designs to protect IT assets and data while aligning with both local and global security standards.
  • Strategic Ambition: They will align with Allianz Technology's strategic ambition in infrastructure, including data center services, workplace, databases and network optimization, thereby supporting Allianz's cloud-first strategy and embracing software-as-a-service (SAAS) solutions.

 

Key Requirements

  • A Bachelor Degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline
  • 7+ years in IT infrastructure roles, with at least 3+ years in an architect role
  • Possesses a proactive, hands-on attitude, and is prepared to lead strategic initiatives.
  • Strong team player, fostering collaboration and cohesion within the organization.
  • Effective Communication: Ability to clearly articulate technical concepts and solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring alignment with business goals and quality objectives.

 

Nice to have skills

 

  • Experience in insurance IT systems, including policy management, claims processing, and fraud detection
  • Certifications (AWS/Azure/GCP Solutions Architect, TOGAF, ITIL) are a plus, proficiency in Cloudification practices.
