Job Purpose 

The Application Designer supports the analysis, documentation, and implementation of business requirements within digital transformation or system enhancement projects. Working closely with cross-functional teams in Mauritius, France, and other global hubs, the analyst bridges business needs and technical delivery, ensuring high-quality, compliant, and timely solutions. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

Requirements Gathering: 
Conduct workshops, interviews, and documentation reviews to collect and clarify business requirements from stakeholders in both English and French. 

Documentation & Analysis: 
Translate business needs into functional and non-functional requirements, process maps, and user stories. 
Maintain clear documentation in Confluence, JIRA, or equivalent tools. 

Testing & Validation: 
Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by preparing test cases, tracking defects, and validating solutions against business needs. 

Stakeholder Communication: 
Facilitate communication between local delivery teams and client-side stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment on priorities. 

Continuous Improvement: 
Participate in retrospectives and process optimization initiatives within Agile squads. 

 

Skills & Competencies 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities 
  • Proficiency in documentation and presentation tools (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, Confluence, JIRA) 
  • Ability to work collaboratively in multicultural and distributed environments 
  • Keen attention to detail and commitment to quality delivery 

 

Language Requirements 

Fluency in English and French (both written and spoken) is mandatory, as the role involves direct interaction with French-speaking stakeholders and documentation in both languages. 

 

Qualifications & Experience 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or related field 
  • 0–2 years of experience in business analysis, project coordination, or IT-related support (internship experience acceptable) 
  • Familiarity with Agile methodology (Scrum, Kanban) preferred 
  • Exposure to ERP, CRM, or HRIS systems (e.g., SAP, SuccessFactors, Oracle) would be an advantage
