Allianz Services within Allianz Technology plays a key role in Data Analytics and AI-driven transformation by providing impactful solutions, growing capabilities, and running selected innovation and scaling projects across the Allianz operating model. Efforts are focused on exploring new AI/ML approaches and emerging technologies for business-related applications and use-cases, working closely with Allianz’s business entities.
A Senior Full Stack Data Scientist with a focus on Large Language Model Development is being sought. As a Full Stack Data Scientist, you will be instrumental in improving and expanding explorative AI use-cases, specifically in the area of large language models. What you do:

Develop, design, and maintain large language models using cutting-edge technologies and methodologies.
Propose system and model design for LLM-powered applications, supporting the design process based on stakeholder input and feedback.
Maintain, curate, and develop datasets for LLM evaluation and fine-tuning, defining methodologies for dataset annotation by domain experts.
Track recent innovations and models, proposing ways to use them in current and future applications developed by the team.
Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to implement models and monitor outcomes.
Responsible for the full data science lifecycle, from problem definition to data exploration, data preparation, modeling, validation, and deployment.

What you bring:

Master's degree or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, Machine Learning, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field.
Fluent English skills (written and spoken) are mandatory and additional language skills are welcome
Proven experience as a Data Scientist or similar role, preferably with a focus on large language model development.
Experience with machine learning libraries and deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc.
Experience with the HuggingFace stack.
Experience with the Sentence Transformer framework is a plus.
Experience in data manipulation languages (e.g., SQL).
Experience in classical Machine Learning applications.
Strong understanding of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical team members.
Proven ability to work in a collaborative environment and to lead and drive complex operational and strategic initiatives.
