SENIOR MANAGER, TECHNOLOGY RISK– RISK AND COMPLIANCE – SYDNEY - 12 MONTHS MAX TERM CONTRACT

About the role

 

The primary purpose of this Line 1 role is to assist in leading the implementation execution and monitoring of the risk and compliance management framework for Technology within Transformation (the program) and the promotion of a strong risk culture across the transformation program.

 

  • Support the organisation and the program by identifying key and emerging risks related to technology, cyber, and business continuity that may impact the program and AAL by performing the IT Risk Assessment.
  • Provide operationally independent and objective reviews and challenges in relation to technology risks facing AAL.
  • Support Line 1 teams in business-as-usual risk management, including incident and issue root cause analysis, adequacy of action plans, and review of closure packs.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in the execution of annual Risk and Control Assessments (RCA).
  • Project IT Delivered Risk Assessments, including facilitating Cyber Risk, Resilience and Cloud and Privacy Risk Assessments.
  • Review and Challenge, including support and oversight of any project IT Delivery Risks and Issues, as required.
  • Technology risk advisory, as required
  • Support for any regulatory submissions / papers, including preparation of IT Risk related assessments required.

 

About you

 

  • Ability to identify, analyse, and assess technology risks inherent to large transformation programs and design appropriate controls or actions to manage risks for long-term sustainability.
  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline, with professional accreditation such as Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA).
  • Proven analytical and critical thinking skills to interpret a range of data, identify patterns, trends, and links that inform judgements and solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner and collaborate effectively with senior stakeholders to establish strong professional relationships and influence outcomes.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of engaging with audiences at all levels with clarity, impact, and influence.
  • A passion for leveraging emerging technologies to stay ahead in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.
