Overall Objectives of Job
Position Summary
Serving as the Scrum Master for Regional OPUS, the role serves as a servant leader responsible for coaching and facilitating the work of cross-functional Agile teams. This role creates stable and self-organized teams with clear and engaging direction, helping teams identify and resolve impediments while promoting continuous improvement and high-quality product delivery. The Scrum Master ensures successful implementation of Agile methodologies and drives organizational transformation toward Agile excellence
Key Responsibilities:
Scrum Facilitation & Team Coaching
- Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Sprint Review, Retrospective)
- Remove impediments and coach teams to higher levels of Scrum maturity
- Support new Agile team formation through training and establishment of working norms
- Mentor team members and provide ongoing coaching for self-organization and cross-functionality
Process Improvement & Metrics
- Establish and report on Agile metrics (burn-down charts, velocity, team satisfaction)
- Continuously improve Agile processes and practices within teams and across the organization
- Participate in Communities of Practice to share knowledge and drive organizational Agile transformation
Stakeholder Collaboration & Product Excellence
- Collaborate with Product Owners to optimize Product Backlog for maximum value delivery
- Facilitate effective communication between development teams, stakeholders, and leadership
- Ensure delivery meets quality, timeline, and scope requirements while maintaining customer focus
- Key requirements / skills / experience:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Change Management, Economics, IT, or comparable field
Agile Experience: 2-3 years of relevant work experience in Agile practices, transformation, change management, or consulting
- Scrum Knowledge: Strong understanding of Scrum framework, artifacts, and ceremonies
- Agile Methodologies: Experience with various Agile approaches including Kanban, Lean, XP practices, and TDD
- Design Thinking: Experience in Design Thinking and Story Mapping techniques
- Growth Mindset: Demonstrates continuous learning and professional development with curiosity and customer-centric service attitude
- Agile Mindset: Genuine commitment to Agile values and principles with ability to inspire others
- Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work effectively across diverse teams and stakeholder groups

- Time Zones: Ability to cover time zones from Japan (8:30am) through to India (18:00pm) and business level English proficiency required
Future Challenges
- Collaborate with peers and Service Manager to develop Policy Administration in Allianz Technology
- Preparation for ITMP transition
