We specialize in helping our customers mitigate their most complex risks with bespoke multi-year and multi-line agreements covering a broad range of risks, leveraging our expertise in alternative risk transfer and the global capabilities of the Allianz Group.

The Impact You Will Have

Reporting to the Head of ART Accounting you will be instrumental in shaping the financial integrity and regulatory compliance of Allianz's ART underwriting results and insurance technical balance sheets. Your expertise will ensure the plausibility and accuracy of financial data, enabling informed decision-making and strategic planning. By analyzing and resolving obstacles, you will enhance transparency and clarity in financial reporting, while your insights into special effects will drive deeper understanding and proactive management.

You will create and maintain efficient workflows that uphold high-quality standards and ensure the timely delivery of financials and local regulatory reports. Your contributions will not only safeguard compliance but also optimize processes, fostering a culture of excellence and reliability within the organization.

Some of your specific responsibilities could include:

  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of IFRS and statutory closing and reporting tasks, including monthly closings and regulatory reporting.

  • Complete periodic account postings and reconciliations, resolving intercompany transactions within affiliated groups.

  • Manage monthly legal entity close submissions, including accrual postings, manual adjustments, and other accounting transactions.

  • Conduct checks and controls on underwriting results and insurance technical balance sheets, analyzing obstacles and reporting special effects.

  • Fully reconcile and substantiate all assigned accounts, archiving records to meet audit and statutory requirements.

  • Draft standards to improve quality and contribute to the enhancement and implementation of global operation cycles, processes, and policies.

  • Review the P&L and balance sheets of ART entities, assisting internal clients with reports, research, and other activities, while maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders.

What You’ll Bring to the Role

  • Extensive knowledge of local GAAP, IFRS, Solvency 2, and other reporting, compliance, and declaration requirements.

  • Professional experience in P&C (re-)insurance accounting, financial audit, controlling, or similar areas, with 3 to 5 years of experience.

  • Expertise in finance and insurance (preferably P&C), with an understanding of insurance group complexities for cross-departmental collaboration.

  • Proven ability to efficiently analyze data using Excel/Access and communicate results to diverse stakeholders.

  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills for data analysis and effective communication; ideally, knowledge of SAP tools.

  • Proficiency in interpreting insurance financial statements and performance metrics.

  • Capability to manage complex processes like closing, reporting, and finance operations, with a grasp of data flows.

  • A willingness to learn and explore how AI can enhance your role and the broader organization is expected.
