We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst III for our Marine line of business.  This position will work a hybrid scheduled based in the New York City office.

The Global Technical Office Team houses Allianz Commercial (AzC) chief underwriting office, comprised of an ocean cargo, inland marine, and hull line of business. We’re one of the market leaders for marine insurance. The Impact You Will Have   

Reporting to the Global head of Marine, this position will Provide global analysis and consultancy within Marine delivering accurate and meaningful global financial information.  Must be able to research, identify and present market trends and the stories behind the data to the Global and Regional Heads in a meaningful manner. Must have the ability to anticipate needs and build trust to enable leadership’s greater focus on larger strategic organizational initiatives. Engage in active collaboration with EMT to determine and prioritize implementation of business strategies and assist in the coordination and management of special projects and cross-functional teams as needed.  Utilize the ability to influence stakeholders without direct management authority.

 

Some of your specific responsibilities could include:   

·  Provides quantitative and qualitative analysis in support of the Global Marine market to improve business operations as part of the overall strategy; Create dashboards that lay out the information in a concise and clear format. Ensure high quality work results which are delivered in a timely fashion through a clear understanding of needs. 
·  Flexibility and willingness to perform varying duties depending on the shifting needs of the business and the company; Create proposals for management and support the creation of project proposals. Within strategic initiatives, demonstrates flexibility because some initiatives may not fit neatly into a specific functional area.
·  Establish the cadence of meetings, schedule and plan periodic executive team meetings including agenda setting, minutes taking, collection and production of content material and action items follow up.
·  Build strong relationships with team members across the organization in order to influence outcomes and maintain momentum. Provide thought leadership on data analytics to support business strategies and road maps.  Establish strong working relationship with cross - functional stakeholders to ensure that dependencies between functions are taken into consideration when solutions to business problems are designed and implemented. Use company and external data to identify the likelihood of future outcomes based on historical data.
·  Ensure that global standards and guiding principles are followed in all projects and initiatives and may be required to manage them.

 

 

What You’ll Bring to the Role –   

·  A minimum 3 years’ experience in the domain of practice of the role. Minimum 7 years’ project management experience. Minimum 5 years’ experience in large corporate work environments and complex Problem-Solving experience.
·  A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or similar preferred.
·  Ability to break complex subjects into manageable pieces; determine status quo, business requirements, target and course of action
·  Individual task management to ability to manage large complex projects.
·  Skilled in Change Management, including stakeholder management, change curve, communication, relationship management, customer satisfaction, understand customer needs, build CBA & Business Case, facilitation, and consult business
·  Communication and presentation, leadership and decision-making skills.

 

The annualized base pay range for this role is $130,988 to $244,550. The annual base salary range represents a nationwide market range. The actual salary for this position may be above and will be determined by several factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role, the skills, education, training, credentials, and experience of the candidate. The base pay is just one component of the AzC total compensation package. As part of our comprehensive compensation and highly rated benefits programs, employees are also eligible for annual performance-based cash incentive awards.
