Role Description

Allianz is seeking a talented & experienced Finance Analyst on a permanent basis. It is a fantastic opportunity for someone to learn & develop their skills & knowledge as part of the UK Finance Systems & Change Team, supporting a large number of strategic projects. The role will be focused on careful test & implementation of the financial accounting & reporting derived from any system changes & business initiatives.

 

Key Responsibilities

·  Work with stakeholders in Project teams, & the wider Finance team to define test scenarios based on accounting & reporting requirements
·  Execute accounting & reporting testing, & analyse results for accuracy in line with Finance requirements
·  Identify & resolve defects in collaboration with Finance stakeholders, testers, & developers
·  Maintain documentation of test scenarios, accounting & reporting results, & defects
·  Provide timely & accurate status updates on testing progress & defects to relevant stakeholders
·  Create & present PowerPoint slides summarising test results for sign off by Finance stakeholders
·  Understand & document the data feeds into Finance, assessing & testing impacts on all Finance processes, MI reports, & Financial accounting
·  Identify and produce relevant Financial Control requirements

 

Skills & Experience

·  Comfortable to question & challenge colleagues whilst representing Finance
·  Able to apply analysis skills, & accounting techniques to help complete testing & identify defects
·  Communicate with relevant stakeholders such as project managers, business analysts, Finance stakeholders, testers & system developers in a clear & consistent manner
·  Proven experience in Testing within the Finance function
·  Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel, also comfortable with Word/PowerPoint
·  Strong organisation skills & the ability to meet multiple tight project deadlines
·  Good knowledge of Oracle Financials (EBS)
·  Knowledge of insurance accounting standards & regulatory reporting requirements
·  Previous experience SAP ERP would be advantageous

 

Qualifications

·  Part Qualified or Newly Qualified Accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA).
