We are looking for an Underwriter Property (m/f/d), based in Madrid, Barcelona or Bilbao.

The Impact You Will Have
As a member of the Property UW Community of the Iberia region, you will report to the Regional Property UW Manager and you will work closely with clients and brokers to develop personalized solutions as well as developing new relationships.
You will be responsible for work alongside a Senior Team to underwrite profitable new and renewal business. Your responsibilities also include supporting for negotiating participation, pricing and terms & conditions, acquiring new business and retaining existing business
Some of your specific responsibilities could include:
Carrying out risk analysis at a technical level: nature of the risk, quality of the risk, materiality, vulnerability of the risk.
Minimum 5 years on insurance market.
Understand exposure, insurance cover and pricing strategy.
Drawing up an insurance program tailored to the customer's needs.
Underwriting within the framework of the Group's processes and the Branch managed by the Property Regional Manager and CUOP.
Develop your portfolio with new prospects, saturation with new products. Ensuring the profitability and sustainability of the portfolio.
Develop and execute the Property Line of Business (LoB) local strategy and proactively support the development of the global LoB strategy;
Develop and maintain strong relationships with brokers and clients;
Ownership of large accounts / clients and ultimate responsibility for accounts.
What You’ll Bring to the Role
Developing commercial relations with brokers and customers in collaboration with the Distribution team.
Proactively support acquisition of new business and retention of existing business (including client and broker negotiations where necessary);
Coordinate with local Distribution to drive successful execution of strategic plan;
Communicate local Line Of Business strategy externally in Spain together with Market Contacts and Distribution;
Positively represent Allianz Commercial internally within the Allianz Group, and externally to the market;
Proactively drive involvement of functional areas in Underwriting process, including e.g. Distribution, ARC, Claims, Operations
You should be able to integrate AI-driven insights into your work to optimize outcomes and support broader organizational goals.
Fluent English and Spanish.
