Our Commercial business has set ambitious growth targets into 2028 and to help us to deliver on that goal we are now recruiting a Property & Liability Underwriter to join our team based in Elm Park, Dublin 4.
The Opportunity
The successful candidate will join a team of experienced underwriters who manage commercial combined, property and liability portfolios. Working proactively with the team, you will support them by ensuring that our existing customers receive a best in class service from us. A key component of the role is providing administrative support to the team as part of the renewal process. You will gain experience and develop your understanding of commercial products, our processes and help us achieve our growth targets, with the full support of the team.
Role Responsibilities:
· Support Underwriters in the administration of the commercial property, liability & combined renewals to assist achieving GWP targets
· Manage work queues to ensure customer service excellence is delivered
· Develop relationships within the team, with colleagues in other areas of the business and intermediaries
· Develop expertise over time in the combined commercial business
· Balance speed of turnaround with technical requirements of the role to support underwriters to deliver on renewal retention targets
· Continually improving quality & efficiencies within the Team
· Assist the Team in meeting compliance and governance targets and support underwriters in achieving this
· Support the Team in issuing documentation within SLAs, I/90 support and assistance in Project work.
· Identify and implement improvements in process, proposition or service to best serve our customer base
Essential Experience
· A minimum 2 years’ experience in general insurance
· APA or relevant qualification**
· Experience in team working, customer relationship management, achieving targets
Desirable Experience
· Experience in commercial insurance
· Proficiency in i90 and Salesforce

Appointment to this role will be subject to the requirements provided for by the Central Bank of Ireland. This role is a Control Function (CF-4,8) and is subject to F&P Standards.
