About the Job
Our main product is the health insurance business logic and file within the German ABS-System, which manages all changes with regards to various health insurance products. You will be working in a mixed team of business analysts and software developers.
What you do
- Gathering, analyzing and checking of functional and technical requirements
- Implementation of requirements in given technical design
- Software development in agile teams and input to methods of software engineering
- Develop, maintain, optimize, and service software or application components
- Ensure maintainability of developed software, Ensure operational stability of software
- Consideration of aspects: Performance, data security , IT security and ergonomics/usability in as part of software development
- You will work with: Java (Rich Client Programming), Eclipse, Git/SVN, Junit; Hibernate ORM, SQL, Relational Databases, Adapter Pattern; Jenkins, SonarQube, Confluence, Jira.
What you bring
- Completed studies in computer science or equivalent experience, with strong skills in object-oriented application development and Java backend projects.
- Proficient in development environments and tools like Eclipse, JUnit, and Jira, with advanced SQL knowledge.
- Demonstrates strong communication and teamwork abilities, alongside a high level of commitment and quality orientation.
- Capable of working independently and adapting quickly to new information and changing work situations.
- Possesses analytical skills and problem-solving abilities, with experience in agile environments (Scrum, Kanban).
- Willing to engage with large applications and insurance use-cases, focusing on delivering business value.
- Nice to have: Work experience in the insurance industry, IT methodology knowledge (e.g. ITIL), experience working with Hybernate ORM.
