Information Security Project Manager

Job Summary:
The Information Security Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and finalizing projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants to deliver projects according to plan. The Project Manager will also define the project's objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle. A strong understanding of IT and cybersecurity technologies is essential, along with experience in managing projects related to information security. This role requires adherence to local regulations in the UAE, KSA, Qatar, Oman, and other countries where Nextcare operates, with a direct reporting line to the Regional Head of Information Security MEA.
What you will do:
Project Management:
· Lead the planning and implementation of information security projects.
· Facilitate the definition of project scope, goals, and deliverables.
· Develop full-scale project plans and associated communication documents.
· Manage project timelines, milestones, and deliverables using appropriate tools.
· Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
· Monitor and report on project progress, risks, and issues, ensuring timely resolution.
· Conduct risk assessments to identify potential security threats and develop mitigation strategies.
· Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope, and within budget.
· Perform quality assurance and control to ensure the highest standards are met.
· Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques.
· Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques.
· Report and escalate to management as needed.
· Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation. Knowledge of Cybersecurity
Technologies:
· Understand and stay updated on the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and technology solutions.
· Collaborate with security architects and engineers to ensure that security solutions are effectively integrated into the project.
· Evaluate and recommend cybersecurity tools and technologies to enhance the organization's security posture.
· Coordinate with vendors and service providers to ensure the successful deployment and integration of cybersecurity solutions.
Vendor Examples and Technologies:
· LogRhythm: Experience with implementing and managing Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) solutions to monitor and analyze security events.
· Qualys: Proficient in vulnerability management and assessment tools to identify and mitigate security vulnerabilities.
· BeyondTrust: Knowledgeable in Privileged Access Management (PAM) solutions to control and monitor privileged user accounts.
· SailPoint: Experience with Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) solutions to manage user identities and access rights.
Compliance with Local Regulations:
· Ensure projects comply with local regulations and standards in the UAE, KSA, Qatar, Oman, and other countries where Nextcare operates.
· Stay informed about regulatory changes and updates in the Middle East and Africa (MEA) region.
· Work with legal and compliance teams to ensure adherence to local and international data protection laws, such as GDPR and other relevant regulations.
· Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local cybersecurity and data protection laws.
Reporting and Communication:
· Directly report to the Regional Head of Information Security MEA.
· Provide regular updates and reports on project status, risks, and issues to the Regional Head of Information Security MEA.
· Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including senior management, to ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
What you bring:
· Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
· Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is preferred.
· Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or equivalent certification is a plus.
· Proven working experience in project management within the information security sector.
· Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in IT and cybersecurity.
· Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices.
· Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
· Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
· Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work in a fast-paced environment.
· Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Excellent organizational and time management skills.
· Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
