We are looking for an Entertainment Underwriter, based in Paris.

Based in our Underwriting hub in Paris and working alongside another Underwriter and the Regional Head, you are part of a truly global team that does not stop at your region’s borders. In Entertainment, we work closely together to exchange market standards and share underwriting best practices. In a dynamic market environment, we are committed to serve our clients’ and brokers’ needs and further strengthen the position of Allianz Commercial as the global leader in this Specialty line of business.  

 

The Impact You Will Have 

Reporting to the Regional Head of Underwriting for France, Benelux, Southern Europe, Iberia, Central Eastern Europe and Germany & Switzerland, you will further grow the profitable Entertainment portfolio in the region, focussing on France, Belgium, Italy, South Africa, Middle East, Greece and Turkey. You will underwrite profitable new and renewal business in the Entertainment Line of Business offering Film/TV/Commercials, Live and Contingency insurance products. You will help negotiate participation, pricing, terms and conditions and take care to develop relationships with brokers and clients in order to find new business opportunities. Furthermore, you will support the global Entertainment UW team and global expansion activities.  

 

Some of your specific responsibilities could include: 

· 
Underwrite Film/TV/Commercials, Live and Contingency new and renewal risks to meet top and bottom-line targets (local and regional)  

· 
Underwrite governance framework (Underwriting authorities, underwriting guidelines, rules, principles) and ensure contract certainty is achieved on all accounts at time of launch  

· 
Ensure accurate policy documentation is issued to broker, and support completion of policy administration and credit control processes  

· 
Execute regional underwriting strategy  

· 
Actively pursue acquisition of new business and retention of existing business  

· 
Develop relationships with key brokers and clients and other relevant stakeholders (e.g. risk managers) and positively represent Allianz Commercial externally to the market  

 

What You’ll Bring to the Role 

· 
Outstanding communication & presentation skills in both French and English:  
Proficiency in English within the business context is essential for effective collaboration with international stakeholders, ensuring seamless communication across borders and enhancing our international business operations. French language skills are also important, but being fluent in English is a must. 

· 
Experience in underwriting profitable business in the Entertainment line of business is preferred but we will also consider candidates with insurance experience wishing to move into the Enternatinment line of business. 

· 
You are able to assess risk inherent exposures and natural hazards  

· 
You are skilled at drafting and interpreting contracts, are at ease developing robust wordings  

· 
You analyse current performance against benchmarks, bring market knowledge and understand, the business and customer needs  

· 
Experience with legal and regulatory framework  

· 
Ability to analyze highly complex data from multiple sources in detail; identify and resolve issues before they transpire  

· 
You are at ease in an international complex environment, and bring outstanding inter-cultural skills
