Who will you join?

 

The IFRS9 Investments Competence Center ("ICC") ensures the appropriate classification and measurement data delivery for investments in the scope of IFRS 9. The team's main task is to provide expert judgements in connection with the so-called SPPI test for classification of financial assets and the determination of impairments on these instruments. Based on our strong accounting and methodological skills, we have extensive experience in Group Accounting and Reporting ("GAR") in guiding the Group wide IFRS 9 process together with the Allianz Operating Entities ("OEs").
As part of the investment accounting team within the GAR Accounting Hub, the ICC expands the service portfolio of the recognition, valuation, accounting and reporting of investments according to IFRS, MVBS and local GAAP for German and international OEs. The GAR Accounting Hub stands for complex accounting processes for e.g. fixed assets, investments as well as closing and reporting activities, based on high quality accounting services in mature processes with a wide range of expert skills and approved technical innovation power.

 

How can you make an impact?

You will:

·  Provide expert judgement on IFRS 9 classification, measurement as well as impairment requirements for the financial instruments held in the relevant Allianz portfolios and determine their appropriate accounting treatment
·  Actively support the improvement of the Central SPPI and Impairment Engines in close alignment with IDS, OEs and GAR
·  Update and refine the applicable IFRS accounting guidance under IFRS 9 in agreement with the Allianz Group Accounting Policy Department and the Group auditor (PwC)
·  Support the global steering and consistent determination of the investment classification for the Allianz Group
·  Foster the implementation of innovative technological solutions, based on artificial intelligence etc.

 

What are you made of?

Minimum Qualifications:

·  University degree in finance or accounting
·  At least 3 years of work experience in accounting or in a Big4 audit firm
·  Expertise in accounting for financial instruments with a focus on IFRS 9
·  Experience in working in an international environment as well as working on OE- and Group-level
·  Structured approach based on excellent analytical skills
·  Fluent in English, written and spoken; profound German language skills are a plus
·  Strong communication skills
