Head - Data and Analytics Platforms- AE

This position leads the DAP pillar in AZ Tech India and drive the overall strategic growth of the same. This role is responsible for interacting with a rapidly growing team of DAP including subdomains viz. Data Management Platforms, Data Services, and Data Transformation & Enablement service.

 

You will

·  Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive data and analytics strategy aligned with business goals. Collaborate with senior leadership to identify opportunities for leveraging data to drive business growth. Drive strategy towards increased E2E service delivery ownership. Drive Shoring and Up-skilling strategies. Work closely with Az Tech India leadership team to drive the Branch Hub strategy
·  Candidate should have very strong data strategy, to deep IT knowledge of the relevant data platforms to data governance and data science.
·  Primarily own & drive development and operations of IT services E.g. Enterprise Data Platform Services.
·  Knowledge on how to build use cases, capabilities on such of data platforms
·  Strong and demonstratable experience building and running large scale data platforms in the past
·  Customer Focus : Drive and successfully lead the DAP pillar at AZ TECH India ensuring very high level of customer & employee satisfaction while managing a significant budget.
·  Platform Development: Oversee the design and implementation of robust data and analytics platforms. Ensure platforms are scalable, secure, and optimized for performance. Support in ensuring global implementation and further development of the Global Data services, platforms and products for AZ Group
·  Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of data engineers, data scientists, and analysts. Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Work within the constraints of cost and niche skills, to attract right talent.
·  Data Governance: Establish and enforce data governance policies and best practices. Ensure data quality, integrity, and compliance with relevant regulations.
·  Technology Evaluation: Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends. Evaluate and recommend new tools and technologies to enhance data capabilities.
·  Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, product development, and business units, to understand data needs and deliver solutions.
·  Budget Management: Manage the budget for data and analytics initiatives. Ensure cost-effective use of resources and alignment with financial objectives.
·  Performance Monitoring: Implement metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness of data and analytics initiatives. Use insights to drive continuous improvement.
·  Thought leader: Be the thought leader bringing in the expert opinion to address and partner in future business needs (for both business & internal processes). Drive service offerings in pace with changing technology trends in the industry and create awareness / build trust in OEs  by developing and offering stable solutions. Showcase the best practices, initiatives and readiness to OEs and help them implement the same

Your skills

·  Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
·  Ability to translate complex data concepts into actionable business insights. Proven experience in leading data and analytics teams and managing large-scale data platforms. Strong understanding of data architecture, data warehousing, and cloud technologies. Experience with data governance, data quality, and compliance frameworks.
·  Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire & motivate a diverse team. Extensive experience in organizational management, preferably in a global senior leadership role within a global shared service provider organization or similar environment.
·  Ability to build strong relationships and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels
·  Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing strategies, policies, and programs that drive organizational effectiveness, improve performance, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
·  Strong analytical mindset and ability to leverage data and metrics to drive informed decision-making
·  Proven ability to navigate complex organizational dynamics and manage change effectively
·  Up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and best practices.

Technical

·  Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
·  Familiarity with machine learning and AI applications.
·  Knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
·  Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) for data storage, processing, & analytics.
·  Knowledge of Data Integration (ETL/ELT) processes and tools.
·  Understanding of data governance frameworks and tools.
·  Data Security: Knowledge of data security and privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR).

 

 

Functional

·  Understanding of the Insurance industry domain will be added advantage
·  Data Analytics: Expertise in statistical analysis and data visualization.
·  Data Science: Strong foundation in data science methodologies and practices.
·  Predictive Analytics: Experience with predictive modeling and analytics.
·  Customer Insights: Ability to derive actionable insights from customer data.
·  Operational Analytics: Understanding of operational analytics to optimize business processes.

·  Strategic Vision: Ability to develop and communicate strategic vision for data & analytics.
·  Business Acumen: Strong understanding of business operations and financial principles.
·  ROI Analysis: Ability to evaluate the return on investment for data initiatives.
·  Stakeholder Management: Experience in managing and aligning with various business stakeholders.
·  Project Management: Proficiency in project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum).
·  Innovation: Ability to drive innovation through data and analytics.

·  Compliance: Knowledge of regulatory compliance and data protection laws.
·  Performance Monitoring: Proficiency in setting performance metrics and monitoring team performance.
·  Vendor Management: Experience in managing relationships with external vendors and service providers.
·  Reporting: Ability to create and present detailed reports to senior leadership.
