JOB OVERVIEW :
As a member of the Finance Solutions - Health team, this role participates in Finance-specific as well as Company-driven projects. This role is involved in the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) of technical changes and supports the delivery of technical projects impacting the Finance Factory teams and Accounting teams. The person in the role participates in: understanding requirements and changes being developed, planning & executing user acceptance testing, and supporting the process handover to the BAU (Business As Usual) teams.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
Technical System Projects:
These projects will be relating to the insurance systems (OPUS/IRIS) mainly and in some cases the accounting system (SAP) and other connected systems. The areas of functionality in scope includes but is not limited to: Invoicing, Cash Allocation, Dunning, Broker Commission, Outgoing Payments, Incoming Receipts, Reinsurance, Financial Postings, and Reporting. The projects can be both large scale technical upgrades and smaller specific functionality changes.
o Actively participate where required throughout various project phases: User Story and Acceptance Criteria review; Understand the project scope and the solution design; Provide input to the UAT test scenarios; Coordinate and Execute UAT within the given timelines; Support the go-live
o With support from the Finance Solutions - Health team colleagues (Dublin), complete detailed user acceptance testing (execute from test case design through to output review and completion of test case); raising defects when applicable and retesting where required; support with escalations, and submit for internal review and sign off to ensure all requirements are implemented as specified and meet the business process needs
o Take responsibility for: the accurate and adequate recording of UAT documentation (audit trail, screenshots, test case details, test outputs, output files and reports); tracking and reporting on UAT execution and progress; ensuring UAT is completed within project timelines and that reporting is completed within regular timelines
o As part of UAT test planning, ensure various finance scenarios are included, across multiple arrangements, and cover also regression testing on the unchanged functionality
o In all UAT cycles, work collaboratively across the various finance, business and IT teams to ensure efficient and effective UAT execution
o Support business readiness activities including procedure documentation, user training and post go-live support prior to hand off to BAU (Business As Usual)
o Continuously develop own and UAT team’s knowledge and understanding of the system functionality and how the finance processes are conducted on the system
Team Management:
o Manage the UAT team locally in India – including HR topics and daily work management
o Participate in the recruitment and onboarding of UAT team members
o Be responsible for the performance management and development of team members, including objective setting, regular one-to-one meetings, annual appraisals and training and development support
o Act as the main point of contact between the Dublin team and the India team, engaging on UAT planning, coordinating and execution. Be the key participant from the UAT team in UAT preparation work, such as test case identification and preparation
o Take responsibility for the planning and coordination of the work for the UAT team members to ensure we can meet the internal and overall project deadlines for each UAT cycle
o Act as the support, trainer and first reviewer for the UAT team members
Finance Solutions - Other projects:
o Participate in other finance projects and team activities as required
o For example: Support the New Business projects team, where required with the identification of technical changes for the new arrangements, and assist with UAT for these technical changes
o For example: Participate in process improvement projects, including identification and implementation of small changes to manual processes, internal automation opportunities with macros, or process redesign
o Act as back-up for the Projects team mailbox ensuring finance user issues are addressed in a timely manner
o Support other ad-hoc projects where necessary
o Actively participate in team communications and engagement initiatives
REQUIREMENTS:
To be successful in this position you will need to have the following skills/ experience:
• 3-5 years experience working in a project environment, with User Acceptance Testing, IT testing or system testing experience a distinct advantage
• Demonstrable project experience - in at least one large scale system project or several process improvement initiatives

• Demonstrable experience identifying and implementing solutions for complex queries
• Multiple years working in a Finance Operations or Accounting environment preferable
• Experience leading others, either as team leader or in a coaching/reviewing capacity. Experience with coordinating and planning work of others would be advantageous
• Educated to Degree Level; Business/Finance/Accountancy related
• Highly numerate and with strong attention to detail is essential
• Strong MS Excel skills; experience with Jira, Visio, and other MS applications an advantage
• Familiarity with Agile project methodology an advantage
