The Role

Be a part of a project to redevelop the end-to-end actuarial valuation process.  This initial contract is for 6 months, however for the right candidate there is potential for the contract to be extended.

You'll be responsible for

·  Reviewing the data mapping of source system policy and claims data to the new reserving data mart being built.
·  Completing user acceptance testing on new processes to deliver data extracts for the reserving valuations, including comparisons to existing extracts and SAS datasets, investigation and trouble shooting of variances.
·  Providing support to the existing valuation team through the implementation of the new valuation processes and models.
·  Liaising with the IT teams building and developing new system solutions, including workflow automation.

About you

·  Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline with relevant accreditations.
·  Experienced within General Insurance is essential.
·  Python coding (for new process build)
·  SAS coding capability (new data sets will be compared to existing data sets that reside on SAS)
·  Understanding of actuarial valuation models
·  Ability to partner and collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
·  Ability to plan and prioritise effectively.
·  Good communication skills, written and verbal.
