DATA ANALYST - INSURANCE PERFORMANCE STEERING

JOB PURPOSE/ROLE

The Commercial & Claims Performance Steering office was established in 2024 with the mission of designing a new management control model for Allianz P/C commercial business and claims. The team leverages diverse experiences gained across various areas of the company, consistently characterized by analytical data analysis activities, to drive innovation and excellence. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Summarize, design, and present results effectively to various stakeholders.
• Implement and enhance dashboards and business intelligence tools to support portfolio steering.
• Conduct in-depth analysis of performance figures, exploring business phenomena in both underwriting and claims.
• Support data ingestion, transformation, cleaning and exploration procedures.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/KEY SKILLS

• Master's Degree in quantitative subjects (e.g., Actuarial Sciences, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics) or equivalent
• Experience (e.g. 3-5 years) in similar roles/topics; experience in the insurance industry would be a plus
• Strong mathematical and statistical knowledge, with the ability to solve complex analytical problems
• Proficiency in programming with high-level and scripting languages (Python, R, Power BI, etc.)
• Experience in handling and analyzing large data sets, including database technologies
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Self-motivated and committed working style
• Positive curiosity to understand the drivers behind the numbers
• Accuracy and attention to details
• Strong team player.
• Fluent in Italian and English, both written and spoken
