Job description

Key responsibilities/What you do
⦁    Manage collection, cleaning, standardization, storage of data from different sources and formats into the standardized data model
⦁    Manage routines to automate the data loading to the DB, including errors checking procedures, maintenance of lookups and mapping files and manage periodical updates in case of mapping errors/modifications
⦁    Implement and manage codes and queries from the DB, aimed to produce internal automated reporting for: 
1.    Monitoring the portfolio profitability and KPIs with different levels of granularity, including automated triggers of warning procedures
2.    Forecasting, in cooperation with Pricing Actuarial and UW
3.    Producing Frequency-Severity Analyses in different dimensions
⦁    Work closely with the Global Data Manager to secure the alignment between the Data landscape and the business needs
⦁    Support the development of the Pricing Model(s) from data perspective
⦁    Work closely with all the Product & Underwriting teams on existing portfolio, new business and future product innovations.

Key requirements/What you bring
⦁    University degree data science, statistics, mathematics, analytics, or other quantitative discipline
⦁    2 to 5 years of experience solving analytical problems using quantitative approaches, preferably in insurance industry
⦁    Strong experience in SQL, Python, VBA, Oracle and the main coding languages to manipulate data, draw insights from large data sets and produce reporting
⦁    Proficiency with one or more business intelligence tools such as PowerBI, MicroStrategy and/or similar
⦁    Proficiency with Excel and Office package
⦁    Strong problem solving abilities, including demonstrated tenacity at mining data to discover root causes of results
⦁    Strong English level of communication, including ability to translate complex analysis and concepts for non-experts
⦁    Strong communication skills and ability to work with IT, underwriting and actuarial experts
