The Country Manager will be the anchor role in leading and managing the Vietnam business and operations and the role will be based in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for overall Allianz Trade operations in Vietnam.
- Develop and execute annual and long-term business plan and budget for Vietnam.
- Lead local business development activities with key business partners such as brokers, fronters and banks.
- Represent and promote the trade credit insurance business in Vietnam and generate business opportunities into growth and profitability.
- Maintain effective and productive relationships with key external (e.g. regulator and industry bodies) and internal (e.g. regional office / other business units in Allianz) stakeholders
- Demonstrates leadership qualities by effectively managing, engaging, and developing the local sales and risk team to resolve challenges.
- Ability to resolve issues through collaborative problem solving.
Job Requirements:
- Fluent written and verbal Vietnamese as well as strong written and verbal English language skills.
- Solid experience in B2B sales and marketing from financial services industries. Direct experience in trade credit insurance a plus.
- Strong track record of building sustainable and profitable business through managing a sales and account management team
- Leveraging new and traditional sales channels as well as the existing portfolio to drive growth.
- Ability to build extensive local network.
- Strategic insights of country and industry knowledge.
- Strong communication and influencing skills.
- Meeting local insurance regulatory requirement such as being Vietnamese citizens with Permanent residency in Vietnam and holding corresponding insurance agency certificates.
