Job Description

Europe & Norht Africa Procurement Department is responsible for sourcing , negotiating and promoting its product and service offer, which must cover almost 100% of the food and non-food purchasing needs of Accor hotels and its partners .

The Category Manager is responsible to ensure hotels can benefit from the best quality and purchasing conditions for the Food & Beverages categories. He/She participates to the definition of the Europe & North Africa procurement strategy, the range management and executes it. This person is part of a team responding to a Category Director, and works jointly with the International/Base Category Management team.

Offer range management:

–Understanding of business & guest needs, as well as new trends (competitive watch)

–Translation of these needs into Category « offer » Strategies

–Definition of product / services assortment range to meet these needs

–Definition of product/service specifications

–Responsibility on revenue and profit for categories in scope

–Management of the offer on our marketplace

Procurement/Sourcing Management:

–Development of procurement sourcing strategy to enable Category vision (which suppliers to include, prioritization of tenders, supplier dependency review etc.)

–Alignment with Corporate team to define Global Category Strategy

–Definition of best sourcing procurement process and frequency of price reviews

–Definition of the best logistic solution

–Development of new supplier base / innovation

Source to contract:

–Lead on execution of RFI/RFP/RFQ

–Assessment of suppliers' proposals (products & services, price, …)

–Shortlisting, Negotiation and decision on selected suppliers

–Closing & contracting with selected suppliers, implementation of contracts

–Supplier performance management & supplier relationship management

C oordination on Global categories and international contract roll-out:

–Support & coordination with BASE for identification and deployment of best practices, synergies & massification potentials, highlighting local specificities

–Local implementation of international deals

Customer relationship building as country category expert.

Collaboration & relationship-building with local stakeholders is key.

Strong teaming with Corporate team and European team Category Management.

Fast-changing environment – agility needed.

Autonomous on his/her categories.

Qualifications

At least 3 years of experience in Procurement.

Business School / Master in Purchasing.

Language(s) French, English.

Expertise Procurement process & Category Management.

Specific knowledge in fresh products purchasing.

Analytical skills & organization skills.

Customer Focus.

Result-orientedness.
