The Opportunity
Abbott Point of Care has an opportunity for an TBI Sales Specialist covering CA, OR, WA,ID, MT, WY, UT and CO . The TBI Sales Specialist will be a part of a dynamic sales team responsible for driving the successful launch of our novel new TBI assay within assigned geographical regions. Key responsibilities will include collaborating with District Sales teams to create and execute best practice TBI sales cycles by establishing solid business relationships in key healthcare environments including Emergency Departments, Concussion Clinics, Free-Standing Emergency Rooms, Urgent Care Clinics, and complementary departments. You will continue Abbott’s 130+ year tradition of bringing new products and technologies to the world that create more possibilities for more people at all stages of life. This is a field based role and will require extensive travel.
WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

Develop and execute complex, sales strategies in hospitals, Regional IDNs and select outpatient facilities which address your customers’ pain-points and maximize long-term partnerships with APOC.

Lead and coordinate the TBI sales process (from Discovery to Close) at assigned healthcare facilities to drive adoption of the test.
·
Partner with District Managers, Point of Care Sales Specialists and Regional Key Account Managers in Key High Priority accounts to initiate awareness & adoption of the TBI test and accelerate sales cycles and ensure the clinical adoption of the i-STAT TBI test to meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual TBI Sales objectives.

Effectively manage CRM to yield data-driven strategies, accurate sales forecasts, and business insights
·
Lead cross functional teams to educate Key Customer Stakeholders and define key initiatives with internal colleagues to ensure your customers successfully adopt TBI test protocols to enhance patient care.

Synthesize customer and competitor insights, market, and industry challenges, and the TBI product solutions to position the TBI assay and the APOC portfolio services for long-term customer success.

Develop customized solutions for your customers that leverage this emerging technology to deliver transformational solutions and processes.
·
Act as a subject matter expert to your assigned sales team on all TBI commercial activities and coordinate liaison activities with medical affairs to ensure all technical requirements of the customer are fulfilled.

Present the APOC solution to C-Suite and other executives ensuring comprehension of and commitment to the long-term value proposition of reducing unnecessary procedures (CT Scan)
Required Qualifications
·
Bachelor's degree preferably in a technical field (e.g., biological or life sciences)
·
7+ yr. sales experience in Diagnostics and Medical device and/or combination of relevant leadership, professional or technical experience.
·
Demonstrated track record of success in launching new technology – ideally in IVD or medical devices.
·
Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire teams though influence and without direct authority by aligning the team on a common vision.
·
Entrepreneurial spirit underpinned with a strong learning agility and a desire to continuously innovate based upon market and customer feedback.
·
Fast learner with a track record of being an SME in the market(products/customers) and has the demonstrated ability to identify and share best practices with internal stakeholders (sales, marketing, Medial affairs, etc.)
·
Proven Success in Strategic Sales: Recognized Top Performer
·
Self-starter that is motivated to roll up their sleeves and motivated by both personal success and the success of the team.
·
Track record of KOL / product launch champion development
·
Strong Microsoft Office and CRM (Sales Force) skills
·
Must be willing to travel 75% in assigned territory and other locations in the US to support business needs.
Preferred Qualifications
·
Selling customized solutions to senior level (both clinical and administrative) decision makers.
·
Comprehensive knowledge of healthcare systems.
·
Sales experience with the Emergency Department, Free Standing Emergency Departments, and Urgent Care Centers
·
Ability to work independently and as a team member.
·
Demonstrated initiative and problem-solving skills; analytical and critical-thinking skills.
·
Ability to prioritize; strong organizational and planning skills.
·
Ability and aptitude to provide solutions and contingency plans through the comprehensive review of alternatives.
·
Strong business planning and Executive-level Presentation Skills
·
Managerial Aspiration – desire to grow and develop into a commercial manager.
·
MBA is highly desirable.

The base pay for this position is
$72,700.00 – $145,300.00
