The Opportunity
This position works out of our Lake Bluff, IL location in the Global Engineering Services (GES) division.
The primary function of this position is to coordinate resources and training efforts for the Corporate Engineering Global System and Services department. This includes coordinating the training activities for annual training requirements, technical on the job training, new employee orientation / training, and other training as required or assigned. This individual will work with Abbott Quality and Regulatory and departments within the GES division to ensure the standardized development and implementation of the training program.
What You’ll Work On
· Maintain current skill set profiles, courses, training assignments, change control in the Learning Management System (ISOtrain) and department files for individual job functions.
· Administer training curriculums consistent with skill requirements.
· Maintain the accuracy of ISOtrain, individual training records, and generating and distributing notifications, metrics, and reports.
· Ensure the training program complies with all Abbott policies, processes, and guidelines.
· Develop training aids in support of training objectives.
· Schedule training activities for personnel in accordance with individual training plans.
· Performs department purchasing activities using SAP, Symphony and/or Ariba.
· Ensures invoices and check requests are accurate and processed within defined timelines.
· Updates the Computerized Maintenance Management System (Maximo) as needed for purchased services.
· Processes change control requests via the document management system (M-Files) as needed.
Required Qualifications
· Associate degree or relevant work experience and knowledge.
· High school diploma or equivalent.
· BA or BS in Training, Education, Business, or related field a plus.
· This individual must have the ability to work independently and be well organized in program development and administration.
· Efficient us of MS Office Suite programs.
· Ability to proficiently communicate verbally and in writing.

The base pay for this position is
$24.75 – $49.55/hour
