JOB DESCRIPTION:
- The Total Solution Design Specialist is responsible for generating new and maintaining existing business by driving and supporting the sales process with specific lab solution design I sales know-how and intelligence while preserving and possibly improving the lab solution design line of business margin in their region.
- Turn key laboratory design and project management expertise
Major Accountabilities
- Full responsibility for sales quota including forecasting and target performance achievement within the region
- Drive profitable growth by initiating,developing and/or delivering unique workflow and automation solutions that result in improved outcomes and benefits for both the customer and Abbott, work closely with ADD regional / local sales teams
- Develop sales planning for own area of responsibility
- Analyse sales, market and competitive data to develop sales strategy
- Develop customer-specific Total Lab Solutions
- Build sustainable customer relationships and leverage them to drive profitable new sales
- Attend and present at customer meetings and Abbott-internal meetings to develop sa les opportunities and aid business development
- Support tender creation by providing respective technical information
- Analyse impact of market trends and factors and competitor activities on customers
- Support new product launches, evaluate market potential,support marketing activities
- Success in this role is measured by economic profitability, sales quota, contract renewal rate, win rate of new customers, and customer satisfaction score (NPS)
Education
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required. Bachelor's degree in medical,life sc iences or medical technology is preferred.
Background
- Minimum of 3 years track record in the diagnostic industry with an emphasis on consultative selling
- Minimum of 2 years expertise in specially automation and track systems
- Knowledge and ability to AutoCAD, Visio designs
- Proven track record in a similar position supported by management and customer references
- Good lab solution design product and industry knowledge
- In-depth knowledge of Lean & 6 Sigma and how it pertains to laboratory processes
- Strong commercial experience, commercially driven
- Collaborative enterprise thinking
- Strong solution selling and relationship building skills
- Excellent communication,interpersonal and influencing skills
- Ability to develop and champion new ideas and approaches
- Ability to identify and drive resolution of issues
- Candidates must be fluent in local language and English
- The position requires the willingness to travel on a frequent basis, i.e. on average three days per week.
