JOB DESCRIPTION:

Summary:

The Test Technician provides support in the development and production of medical diagnostic instruments. This position performs a combination of routine and non-routine duties using standards, procedures, and protocols to assemble and test components. Main responsibilities include:

• Perform assembly and testing of electronic components and assemblies.
• Ability to read, comprehend, and follow written procedures and verbal instructions.
• Ability to prioritize work by determining the sequencing and timing of different jobs based on precedence and importance.
• Basic knowledge of materials, components, subassemblies and their application to determine that they are working properly.
• Participate in continuous improvement/quality initiatives to enhance production processes and achieve quality metrics.
• Attention to detail to ensure quality documents are accurate.
• Ability to follow established procedures and make critical decisions/judgment with minimal supervision.
• Good written and verbal communication skills and demonstrated ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or general equivalency degree (GED).
• 2-year technical degree preferred.
• 3-5 years related technical experience.
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Experience in troubleshooting equipment, building and testing of electronic assemblies.
• Experience in GMP, ISO, and FDA controlled environment is a plus.
• Proficient computer, data analysis and report writing skills.
• Knowledge of lean/Six Sigma problem solving tools a plus.
