JOB DESCRIPTION:
Summary:
The Test Technician provides support in the development and production of medical diagnostic instruments. This position performs a combination of routine and non-routine duties using standards, procedures, and protocols to assemble and test components. Main responsibilities include:
- Perform assembly and testing of electronic components and assemblies.
- Ability to read, comprehend, and follow written procedures and verbal instructions.
- Ability to prioritize work by determining the sequencing and timing of different jobs based on precedence and importance.
- Basic knowledge of materials, components, subassemblies and their application to determine that they are working properly.
- Participate in continuous improvement/quality initiatives to enhance production processes and achieve quality metrics.
- Attention to detail to ensure quality documents are accurate.
- Ability to follow established procedures and make critical decisions/judgment with minimal supervision.
- Good written and verbal communication skills and demonstrated ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or general equivalency degree (GED).
- 2-year technical degree preferred.
- 3-5 years related technical experience.
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Experience in troubleshooting equipment, building and testing of electronic assemblies.
- Experience in GMP, ISO, and FDA controlled environment is a plus.
- Proficient computer, data analysis and report writing skills.
- Knowledge of lean/Six Sigma problem solving tools a plus.
