An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and passionate Technical Service Specialist to join our HIAC Core Lab team based in Sydney .
This role is responsible for providing after sales support, repairs, preventative maintenance, reliability improvement programs, installations and deinstallations. We utilise a predictive model of identifying failure before it occurs. If you are a technician that can adapt to this new model of doing service, we want to hear from you!
Main responsibilities are, and not limited to:
· Prepare and maintain detailed service and failure records, ensuring all documentation complies with legal and ethical requirements
· Provide training on devices and equipment to technicians and Abbott Representatives. Instruct customers in maintenance and troubleshooting procedures
· Complete user verification checks Test Equipment as prescribed. Maintain and adhere to Test Equipment calibration schedule as prescribed by quality policy
· Ability to do Root Cause Analysis and driven to achieve positive results for our customers and Abbott, including the ability to escalate to the wider group for a timely issue resolution.
What you will bring to this role:
· Tertiary qualifications in biomedical engineering or electrical engineering
· Good understanding of the industry process and function
· Strong methodical and logical thinking skills
· Must be a strong communicator with good interpersonal skills
· Ability to build strong working relationships with customers and provide excellent service, and account ownership from a technical support perspective.
· Must be team oriented and have the ability to work with multi-disciplined teams
Our field team are called to travel to support our customers so a willingness and availability to travel 70% within NSW and spend overnight stays up to 2 times a week is essential. Additionally, a willingness to participate in rotating roster to support customers after hours is required.

Due to the inherent requirements of the role, the preferred candidate must provide evidence of full COVID-19 vaccination before the commencement date and maintain a fully vaccinated status for the period of employment.
