The Opportunity
Our location in Abbott Park, IL, currently has an opportunity for a Tax Analyst. The Tax Analyst will assist in the preparation and filing of the state income tax returns and identifying transactions that have tax ramifications.
What You’ll Work On
· Must have the ability to research tax issues and be sound in interpreting and applying the tax law, regulations, and cases to specific transactions and factual situations.
· Prepare assigned portions of state compliance work as directed by Tax Supervisor/Tax Manager/Senior Tax Manager.
· Assist in the preparation of the tax provision, analysis of tax accounts and reserves, and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance. This includes some knowledge of FAS 109 tax accounting and other necessary FASB pronouncements, as well as internal control issues.
· Calculate estimated payments and extension filings as directed by Tax Supervisor/Tax Manager/Senior Tax Manager.
· Assist with responding to IRS/State audit information requests on behalf of Abbott.
· Interacts with personnel throughout the tax and finance organization.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING
Required
· Bachelors in Accounting or Finance required
· 2+ Years related experience beyond the degree
Preferred
· Masters Degree
· Public Accounting or Fortune 500 Corporate Tax experience preferred

$57,300.00 – $114,700.00
