The Opportunity
This position works out of our Lake Bluff, IL location in the PA Public Affairs division.
The Sr. Specialist, Digital Content Management is part of the Corporate Communications team, a group within Abbott’s Global Marketing and External Affairs organization. They will also be responsible for the overall management, training, and monitoring of our global communication channels. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of digital channel and content management and experience identifying and gathering performance metrics.
What You’ll Work On
· Provide day-to-day technology support that allows the Corporate Communications team to reach employees throughout the world with company news including publishing, distribution, posting of all-employee emails from our CEO, weekly digest emails, stories, videos, and more.
· Lead all aspects of channel management including training current and future administrators, provisioning access, and providing guidance on system best practices.
· Measure, monitor, and analyze reach and engagement across all communications channels and content to understand what systems are most effective in reaching employees and what content is resonating.
· Gather and analyze key initiative success metrics throughout the year.
· Identify, create and/or curate content to promote events, activities, or news on our intranet or in our weekly digest email.
· Support search engine optimization including reviewing search analytics, creation of recommended results, and identifying areas for improvement.
· Serve as liaison to IT and system support teams to ensure system and technology reliability and escalate issues when necessary.
· Manage and respond to inquiries received in multiple function email boxes, including identifying trends that influence changes to our internal communications channels and responding and/or triaging feedback from our search tool.
· Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, technology, data science or related fields
· 2+ years of experience in digital marketing, channel/website administration, or data science
· Self-starter with strong interpersonal and influencing skills with superior attention to detail
· Strong analytical skills, sound judgment, and the ability to understand complex technologies
· Resourceful problem-solver and comfortable with unstructured data
Preferred Qualifications
· 4-6 years of experience in digital marketing, channel/website administration, or data science
· Experience in project management, Microsoft O365, Firstup and Adobe Analytics
· Excellent writing skills, with an eye for proofreading and grammar
· Strong team player with demonstrated ability to navigate across functions and divisions

The base pay for this position is
$72,700.00 – $145,300.00
In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
