JOB DESCRIPTION:
Position: Sr IT Business Analyst – ERP/PLM
We are seeking an IT Associate Business Consultant to interface with the Medical Device Quality organization in the development, delivery, and support of process and technology solutions. This individual is the primary liaison between the IT delivery organization, the divisional business relationship groups, and the Quality organization ensuring the delivery of technology solutions that meet functional business needs and resolve business challenges.
Primary Job Scope:
- Partner across Divisional IT and Corporate IT to support business initiatives, explore IT synergies, create divisional efficiencies and ensure collaboration for IT and/or business priorities.
- Understand uniqueness within the business units as it relates to process and technology needs; work with the BRMs and business SMEs to provide solutions for business unit specific processes, needs, and opportunities for improvement.
- Coordinate projects and provide expertise on selection, design, justification, implementation, and business use of IT systems and solutions.
- Seek out business opportunities with business unit BRMs and business SMEs for the use of new or existing IT capabilities.
Core Responsibilities:
- Develop business relationships and integrate activities with other IT departments to ensure successful implementation and support of project and enhancement efforts.
- Identify process disconnects and translate them into improvement opportunities, technology innovations, and/or cost efficiencies.
- Partner with other IT functional areas to remain current on project status, and inform business management of progress; conversely, keep IT managers aware of user issues and resolution of conflicts.
- Awareness of evolving quality system requirements and their applicability to the business process and IT portfolio and influence the IT stakeholders and partners in addressing these evolutions in the most efficient way.
- Manage relationships between the business and IT organizations to ensure effective communication between the groups is occurring.
- Guide business partners in setting project and enhancement priorities.
- Translate business process requirements into functional application requirements.
- Plan and participate in validated testing process; prepare testing plans to confirm that requirements and system design are accurate and complete.
- Conduct training where needed.
- Understand project financial requirements and assist in preparing capital project requests (RCEs).
- Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment.
- Identify the impact of any relevant statutory, internal or external regulations on the organization's use of information.
- Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional policies and procedures.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree or equivalent experience.
- 7 + years of IT experience in large or mid-size multinational companies with a highly regulated environment.
- Ability to travel 10% - 15%, including internationally
Preferred Qualifications:
- Track record in pharmaceutical or medical device industry as well as business knowledge of quality processes and how it ties into the manufacturing process.
- 7 years or more IT project experience.
- 7 years or more project deployment/implication experience
- 7 years or more Infrastructure and/or applications experience.
- Experience with software validation.
- Organizational change experience.
- Strong influence and negotiating skills. Knowledge of technologies used by functional area and customer and how they integrate in the Quality space.
- Experience working with ERP, PLM, and/or Quality technology solutions and implementations
- Strong acumen in Quality business processes and technical needs.
- Strong organizational skills.
