JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Opportunity

The Sr Global Demand Specialist role will support the overall Demand & S&OP Process for Abbott’s Rapid Diagnostics Infectious Disease-Emerging Markets business unit. The role will be assisting the overall S&OP process by collecting, validating and summarizing the inputs coming from Areas, as well as analyzing the demand submissions and liaise with Demand Managers to identify any risk and opportunities.

What You'll Do

·  Support the monthly S&OP and Demand Planning Processes in collecting and reviewing forecast changes (volume and value) versus previous month’s forecast and any gaps versus our financial benchmark.
·  Demand Analysis: In depth review of forecast changes and trends, align with regions to identify any risk and opportunities to the latest forecast. Expected to help also with Ad-hoc analysis required to support management in any decision or questions.
·  Demand KPIs: Collect and validate root causes for monthly forecast error, support the regions in determining next steps to correct forecast error and improve overall use of Demand KPI’s in S&OP Process
·  Support Global Demand Manager to prepare for weekly/monthly leadership forums and support and assist regional demand teams for monthly demand review forums.
·  Maintain, develop and improve PowerBI Dashboards for demand reporting including executive leader reports.
·  Manage Master Data maintenance and set up of new skus on a monthly basis.
·  Ability to lead continuous improvement projects focused on demand planning analytics and processes.

Required Qualifications

·  Bachelors Degree or equivalent in one of the following areas: Engineering, Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain Management or Business Administration
·  Minimum of 3 years experience
·  Forecasting and/or supply chain planning and management
·  Understanding of Demand Planning and Forecasting methodology as well as S&OP Process
·  Operations and Sales Experience Preferred and/or Understanding of Commercial planning and Supply Chain planning processes and relationship with Demand Planning
·  Analytical and problem solving skills; ability to identify and concisely communicate the business implications of forecasts and actual results.
·  Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and adaptability to different cultures and communication styles as this role interfaces across countries all over the world.
·  Candidate must possess strong MS Excel, MS PowerPoint skills and PowerBI and be able to learn new systems quickly

Preferred Qualifications

·  MBA Preferred
·  Second language preferred.

The base pay for this position is
$83,000.00 – $166,000.00

In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
