JOB DESCRIPTION:

In close collaboration with the Regional Controller, the (Senior) Financial Analyst is responsible for the overall operational discipline related to all Financial Planning and Analysis tasks in the respective country or region. He/she is in charge of coordinating a timely and correct delivery of all financial requirements in close collaboration with the commercial leadership.

In addition to the above base deliveries, the (Senior) Financial Analyst acts as trusted business partner at all commercial levels of the organization and is focused on measurable value creation within his area of responsibility. This includes a high focus on the bottom-line for all of his/her tasks as well as project work which systematically drives the improvement of the bottom-line.

Finally, the (Senior) Financial Analyst is constantly committed to simplification and standardization. He/she helps his/her organization to reach these goals, while ensuring that non-value-adding tasks are systematically eliminated rather than shifted. To achieve these goals, the (Senior) Financial Analyst closely collaborates with the European Headquarter FP&A group and the Abbott Shared Services Organization (SSO).

Responsibilities:

·  Responsible for the coordination of the timely and high-quality submission of all financial requests, utilizing the Abbott reporting tools. Ensure strong operational discipline for all finance-driven processes across the organization.
·  Provide decision support data to management, enabling them to drive fact-based decision-making
·  Provide ongoing standard analysis on all levels of the P/L, mainly revenue, margin and operating expenses. The predominant focus should be on forward-looking analysis and risks/opportunities.
·  Beyond the standard, proactively drive new ways of looking at the results and commitments. Closely collaborate with the entire organization to drive value creation through FP&A work. Also identify specific projects together with the regional controller to further drive value creation.
·  Act as true business partner across the whole organization. Be perceived as a “go-to” person, while also being very reflected on the key priorities for the organization and the function.
·  Support the regional controller on specific interface tasks within the Abbott Matrix (Shared Services Organization,Customer Service, Operations, etc.) as well as with broader controllership tasks (e.g. data support for audits andStatutory closes)
