PRIMARY FUNCTION / PRIMARY GOALS / OBJECTIVES:
This position is responsible for the promotion, management and growth of Abbott Pediatric Nutritional products in hospitals in the Louisville, Kentucky to Lexington, Kentucky territory.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Specific responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Developing and supporting territory sales goals in each hospital for Similac, NeoSure/Similac Special Care, Human Milk fortification products & support.
- Hospital negotiations and contracting.
- Comprehensive knowledge of all products, clinical studies, protocols and guidelines as well as the ability to deliver the information in a selling environment.
- New product launches.
- An understanding of hospital systems and hierarchy of departments within each hospital such as NICU, Nurseries and Nursing units, Pediatrics, PICU & Purchasing. The ability to work effectively with Dietitians, Neonatologists, Physicians, Nurse Leadership/Nurses and Supply Chain.
- Effective administrative skills including budget management and routing.
- Ability to function both in a team environment and independently with a high degree of initiative, independence, and autonomy.
- Desire to be self- motivated, seeking out success at achieving both short and long term goals.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Registered Dietitians with NICU experience are strongly encouraged to apply.
- The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills and experience, NICU RD or NICU RN, technically knowledgeable with a minimum of two years hospital sales experience, proven ability to build and cultivate relationships with supply chain, hospital contracts, and medical professionals.
